The Fletcher family spent ten years living in the house built in the Wootton"s former back garden, but by 1981 it was time for a change, as the suburb was altering before their eyes. One after another, the quaint weatherboard homes were being demolished and replaced with bland brick flats that covered almost the entire length of each long, narrow block of land.
