Time to recover from jet-lag was a luxury Anna couldn"t afford, with a new school year looming two days after landing. She rushed around shops, purchasing the items Adam required for Grade Five, the list supplied by the school running to an entire foolscap page, ridiculous for nine-year-olds in her opinion. She wondered how poor families managed, especially if they had to kit out several children. At least, with Goth-girl Cheryl having returned from the north, Anna didn"t have Adam in tow, whingeing about shopping when he could have been at the beach. Still looking for a part-time job that would provide much-needed cash during her university studies, Cheryl had welcomed the opportunity to earn some money. Another after-school minder would have to be found once uni started at the beginning
