CHAPTER 16 CAPO MAX

JAX'S POV

We had been home for just under a week, Izzy spent most of her time getting to know our Grandparents they like Dad and I fell in love with her fast. I watched her crazy a s s interact with them I had never seen my Grandparents laugh so much, Nona was teaching Izzy how to cook and bake and typical Izzy she was a bloody genius at that as well, Nona was impressed. It was going to be hard letting Izzy go back to Vegas her being with us just felt right. 

Mass and Izzy seemed to be able to keep it civil which was a relief, he and I had become friends, we had bonded over the fact that we both shared the same pressure that one day we would be the next Capo's or Dons if you like and the expectation on us was unbelievable. We had a charity event to attend and we were having a very hard time convincing Izzy to attend, Dad was not use to being told NO or NO thanks, when he asked, he wasn't really asking he was just trying to polite and everyone knew you are just suppose to agree, It seemed Izzy didn't get the Memo and Dad was struggling.

"Jax" Dad yelled. "Dad what's up?" I asked "Where is Izzy?", "She's out the back in the Garden with Gramps" "Tell her to come here now" Dad yelled he was pissed and Izzy was about to meet Our Capo for the first time. Dad was in full Don mode this was not going to be pretty. "Izzy Dad wants to see you and just a heads up he's pissed" I said when I found her. She kissed Gramps on the cheek and hugged him "Poppet what's with the sudden affection" Gramps asked. "In case I don't make it out alive of Max's office I love you" She replied being over dramatic with a cheeky grin.

I led the way and knocked on the door "Come in" Dad bellowed , Izzy and I walked in "Sit" Dad ordered, we both sat. Dad wasted no time, "Izzy who am I to you?' he asked "You are Max" she said quietly "Let me tell you who I am, I am your father and I am your Capo so when I tell you do something you do it, do you fucken understand" He yelled at her. I watched her she did not even flinch this girl had balls of steel. "No I don't understand but let me tell you what I do understand, firstly you are not my Capo, Don Giovani Is and we have to have a real relationship before you have the right to lay claims as a father, You don't get to behave like a father until you have earned that right" Izzy looked at Dad showing no emotion but her words were hitting him hard. 

"I never asked for anything that you have given me, In fact you can have it all back I don't need it and Max I'm not going to the event, I came here to get to know my family that I never knew existed and God willing to make my Ma happy anything outside of that No Thanks" Izzy said "You will do as you are fucken told or so help me?" "What you going to do torture me?, kill me? go ahead Max If it's my time it's my time I mean I'm no loss to you" "Jax get her the f u c k out of here NOW" Dad roared "Iz come on" I grabbed her arm and pulled her out quickly.

Izzy pulled me into a hug then punched my shoulder "It's been nice knowing ya Big Bro and keeping it real I love ya" she said  as she made her way up the stairs.

IZZY'S POV

Max and I had our first falling out, was I hurt? a little, but it did help me focus, It was time for me to leave and to do that I needed to talk to Mass. I knocked on his door "Come In" he replied "Mass I want to go home can I come with you please" "Izzy I'm leaving tonight" "I know Mass can I come?", "What's in it for Me Izzy?" "Why can't you just be a fucken decent human being and just help me?" At this point I had, had enough, I was tired of all the demands and everyone wanting to use me, I looked at Mass he was staring at me weirdly and I realized I was f*****g crying.

Mass stood up and used his thumb to wipe away the tears, I cried even more now I was sobbing, Mass pulled me into arms "Come here Izzy shhh shhh" he cooed as he kissed the top of my head, I wrapped my arms around him and buried my head in his chest. Mass sat down and pulled me gently into his lap and just let me cry as he calmed me and wiped my tears.  

MASSIMO'S POV

I couldn't fucken believe it, Izzy was in my arms crying and when the crying stopped I realized she had fallen asleep, I gently lifted her carrying her back into her room, Jax was just about to knock on her door when he saw me carrying her, he opened the door for me, then he opened her bed up so I could lay her down, Jax took her combat boots off and her Knives fell out of them, we both looked at each other and laughed quietly. "F u c k what kind of 18 year old girl carries throwing knives in her boots" Jax said still laughing.

I looked at this girl passed out and exhausted she was truly beautiful but her real beauty was in the fact that she didn't know it, nor did she care. Jax and I sat looking at her for while "Jax what happened she was pleading with me to take her home, then she started crying, I've never seen her vulnerable ever" I said to Jax still shocked at what went down. "She and Dad had a fight but I am not surprised she reached out to you, as f ucked up as your relationship is, she still see's you as Familia she is Loyal to you Mass, she could run here and she would home and life for her would be easy, but Loyalty takes her back to Vegas to your Familia, Just think about that Mass every time you want to kill her" Jax said as he chuckled.

"I want to take her home with me, I'll talk to Ara and Max" I said to Jax. "Don't talk to Dad yet, he just shot at one of the security guy's cos his tie was crooked he's alive but I doubt he will ever have full use of his arm again so maybe you should wait". "Yup I'll definitely wait" I said with a wide grin.

IZZY'S POV

I woke up with Jax staring at me and his gigantic arm over me "You're awake Kiddo", "Yup you come to help me pack" I asked. "Nope I've come to ask you to stay" Jax said as he swept hair off my face and tucked it behind my ear. "Iz Mass will stay here also, until it's time for you to go back, If that helps", "Why would he do that" I asked "Because your his Familia no matter how much he wants to choke you, Familia First Iz he truly believes it" Jax explained

Massimo Giovani concerned and caring about me, the thought sent shivers down my spine It almost felt unnatural I smiled at my thoughts. "I am going to see him Jax move your gigantic a s s" I said pushing him off the bed. I walked into Mass's room "So can you stay with me, so if I need a quick escape I have one" I blurted out. Mass smiled a genuine smile at me "Mass what's that on your face it's scaring me" I said dramatically but couldn't hold my laugh. "Ha Ha Izzy it's a smile and yes I will stay with you no strings attached" I hugged Mass again then punched his arm.

"Ow Izzy what the F u c k" he said surprised "It felt weird hugging you so I punched you to make myself feel better" I replied sheepishly "Jax was right you are straight f****d up" Mass said laughing at me. "We are getting on and I am not use to it, don't be to nice though Mass I might really fall for you and then we will end up a tragic love story" I said playing with him. "Mmmm Noted" he said still laughing. This new Mass was kind of cool, he was Hot now that he didn't look like he needed to stab me.

Could we actually become friends? I thought to myself. Jax walked in "So you guys staying? " he asked "We are Jax" I said with a smile. "Izzy I need a little favor?" Mass said "Anything dude name it" I said with out thinking "Great then you need to go buy a dress, you are going to be my date at the charity event tonight" he said high fiving Jax "Wanker's totally set me up, Fine I'll be your date but don't blame me if you get embarrassed" I replied. "Storm is waiting in the car for Iz, she's taking you shopping, oh and Iz please don't kill my girl I actually love her" Jax said laughing with Mass
