Chapter 8: Symptoms of Eliz’s Blood II

After another refreshing bath, I went to my Dad’s office but on my way there was no sign of children running around and making some noise around the house. I was a bit confused over the silence of the house until I realized that Dad’s betas weren’t around except from Zane. They left her in charge here while they were on their business trips. I sighed on how Zane could manage the pack but I know she could pull through it. She’s a beta after all.

As I reached Dad’s office, I just knocked and entered his room. Inside of his office, it was typical study room with tons of books or records of their family. But the thing I love in his office was the aroma of his delicious brewed coffee. I smiled as I shook my head to what I’m seeing onto his desk, paper works.

“Busy as always.” I greeted him so he would know that I already entered his office. Well, he already knew because he’s a wolf.

Dad just looked and smiled at me before standing up to give me a welcome hug as well kissing my forehead. He always does that and never failed to make me feel I’m a member of his family.

But seriously, why I’ve the feeling that everyone was giving me a kiss onto my forehead lately? I shook my head mentally over that thought when I noticed Dad’s face became very serious.

Oh boy, here it goes.

“I’ll go straight to the point. How did you do that or even used the power of the moon goddess?” Dad asked me directly that made sighed since I don’t know the answer as well.

“I don’t know, Dad. I just followed my guts and it’s telling me to state those words like I knew what was happening.” I honestly replied that made him nodded as he tried to understand it.

“Eliz, do you know who’s you legitimate father? I mean, I want to know if your father lineage has something to do with it.” Dad asked me since I suddenly possessed something no human can have. I think.

“Sorry, Dad. The only thing I remember about him was that he was an archeologist and loves to discover unexplainable things like myths or legends. He also wanted to be a writer but never got a chance. That’s all I could remember being with him before that accident took him away.” I replied honestly that made him sighed as he nodded again.

Dad walked back to his desk as if his mind drifted elsewhere that made slightly frowned since it’s bugging me as well.

“Dad, I wanted to know what's happening to me.” I said with defeated tone as I took my seat on his couch.

Dad looked at me in a worried face while his eyes studied me.

“What do you mean by that?” Dad asked me with his curious and worried voice.

“Well, I felt like I was different. Like I’m so different from my old self or something is changing inside of me.” I honestly told him what’s running inside my head and what I’m feeling right now.

“Like what kind of changes are you saying?” Dad asked with such curiosity that made him stood once again in front of me.

“I could feel things like what happened earlier. I can tell my baby brother was still there and he was asking for my help. I don’t know how it was possible but I heard his pleading. When I cradled him into my arms, I don't know I felt so relieved that he was alive then I heard whispering words like a chant. I stated it then his name flashed into my mind.” I explained to him what just happened inside their room earlier.

“Dad, can you tell me what’s wrong with me? I could feel the changes and I don't know how to deal with it.” I sighed as I felt my body began to quiver like I’m about to break down.

“I see, now I know what was happening.” Dad sighed while grinning from ear to ear that made me look at him so confused.

“Scarlet mentioned about you having adaptation ability and it wasn’t like the other humans have. I also realized that the moon goddess blessed you something that can make a lot of change in the night realm. Don’t worry kiddo; we’ll know what a blessing it will be soon enough. Tomorrow, you’ll start your training with Zane and the others. You can also ask Scarlet on how to deal with rogues since she was one of them.” Dad told me as he patted my shoulder with a smirk written onto his face that made me sighed.

When I left Dad’s office, I went to check up on my mother with my little brother on their room. I knocked before entering the room and it wasn’t surprising that my mother was cradling Zachary on her rocking chair. I smiled as I approached them and the sleeping Zachary suddenly woke up when I kissed my mother.

“Jealous, Zachary?” I teased my little brother who seemed to understand every word I said since he was looking at me.

I know babies won’t be able to see clearly on their first few days but my brother was different.

“Seems like he understands his sister.” Mom chuckled before handing him to me.

I know shouldn’t take him but my mother insisted. I carried Zachary carefully into my arms and he was smiling like he knew that I couldn’t resist him. He was so adorable. As I kept watching over him, something flashes into my mind like a long lost memory but I don’t know if I was the one owns them. I saw shadows of men who was talking and laughing. I don’t know why I felt happy whenever I saw them bond like that then I jolted when Zachary touched my face. He was worried about my sudden daze.

“I’m okay…I will be okay.” I cooed him as I nuzzled my nose to his that made him giggled so cutely.

Seriously babies can take away your worries just by hearing and seeing them laughed.

My morning started like this even though there was some bugging flashes into my mind that I don’t care for

now. Then suddenly, I groaned when I thought of going to my afternoon classes which started with my boring music class yet, I’ll be with her in that class.

“Just the thought of her makes me want to run to her.” I whispered that made Zachary moved like he wanted to comfort me.

“Oh thank you, Hary. I love you too but I love her more.” I chuckled that made me realize that I really do like Scarlet.

I knew she wasn’t just a mate but I couldn’t spell what she’s really beyond that. I know that felt so familiar to her because she’s from my younger days yet, there was something in the past that I couldn’t comprehend.

Anyway, that’s what I felt around Scarlet until my mother touched my shoulder before kissing my cheeks. I smiled before giving my little brother back to her.

“Zachary, when you grow up kindly watch over your sister.” Mom told to baby Zachary who smiled before yawning.

“Well, Mom that will be someday but I’ve got Scarlet and the others. So, don't worry. I’ll take care of myself. It’s you need to take care of yourself since you just gave birth.” I chuckled to my mother who just yawned as well.

“I know but you can’t deny a mother’s love for her children, aren’t we?” Mom said her wisdom that made me sighed before kissing her forehead and cradling Zachary in her arms.

I can’t argue with that since I’ve witness on how she took care of me that sometimes well, I mean most of the time took advantage before. Just recalling that made me smile on how reckless I am back then, well maybe up till now. Anyway, I left their room and went to mine and since I couldn’t take a nap, I just prepared some things that I might need for school. After fixing my things up, I went to the kitchen to get some of my home cooked meal before heading to school at exactly 11:30. I have to share my cooked meals to my friends and her as well.

“I hope they'll like it especially her.” I whispered as I entered the school ground and directly went to the cafeteria since I knew they were already there.

When I got there, suddenly my blood began to burn up like I’m in some kind of heat in the wolf language but actually, I was beyond madness. I immediately rush toward friends since this omega of ours won't back off. My temper was indeed getting into me like I was going to shift into a monster - worse than them.

“So here’s your weakling human.” One of the omegas and a friend of the guy who challenged my Scarlet laughed.

“Leave her out of this.” Seth growled since he knew that they were getting overboard on messing with them.

“You’re with us now. So, don’t you dare stick with them.” One omega girl meanly reminded him that he belongs to our pack.

“They were filthy.” Another omega girl said that seriously snapped me.

“ALL OF YOU FIELD NOW!” I screamed that made them jolted and nodded like they were forced to do so.

All of us went to the field since at these hours nobody was around. We all gathered there and I know these omegas won't just let it go. I mean, I screamed at them.

“How dare you to scream at us like that?” the first omega girl asked me that made me shake not because I’m scared or whatever but something else.

“Better to know your place.” the second omega girl smirked like they’ve won.

“Your -!” Zane and Alwen was about to argue with them but I stopped them.

I felt so freaking hot and this temper building inside of me must be out. I took a deep breath as they kept babbling and arguing to each other until the rogues suddenly stopped from speaking. Their heads tilted to look at me before their eyes went wide and stepped back. Our omegas thought they’ve won and began teasing them because of the rogues’ gestures but hell no.

I’m totally mad right now. Beyond that, I couldn’t control this temper because they pushed me to my limit. I snapped.

“Stand down for your Luna.” I calmly said to the rogues since they were not the reason I’m pissed but them - omegas.

“You’re not our Luna, human.” The guy said as they all laughed.

“Who said I’m referring to all of you?” I frankly asked that made them looked at me.

“So you mean you’re one of them? That was funny since you’re not even a wolf to begin with so, back off this our fight human.” The guy laughed as he emphasized the last word he said to me but I closed my eyes as I tried to control it yet I couldn’t.

“THAT’S IT. I COULDN’T CONTAIN IT ANYMORE!” I shouted that made them shocked since I never scream or shouted toward anyone except this one.

“I’m not just any human you can push around. I’m more capable hurting anyone who displeases me. But I’m not as low as you are. You omegas, you ruin the name of the pack. Such a disrespectful one.” I frankly told them with my different pitch that I never thought I have in me. I sounded like a different person which they didn’t care at all.

“Oh, Zane since your father wasn’t here kindly, report everything directly to the Alpha. Everything that happened while I’m wasn’t around.” I seriously said with such authority in my voice that made Zane shocked but smirked. She agreed and did what I requested to her.

“I think you should listen to a Beta, right?” I glared that really shut their mouths.

They was about to argue something when we heard a clapping hands that came from Scarlet and my Dad. We’re all surprised but seeing Scarlet made my tears began to fall.

“My lovely mate was right. Omega listens not only to the Alpha but also to the Beta since they were in second in command. Am I right, Alpha?” Scarlet chuckled that made my Dad sighed in disgrace.

“You were right. Sorry about this one, I think they need lots of discipline under my watch.” Dad said with such disappointment in his tone.

“Don’t you dare, Dad. Stay with Mom and let your Beta handle this one. It’s teenager stuff.” I growled that made my Dad stepped back a bit with hands up.

“Come here.” Scarlet called that made me run to her. I snuggled myself into her arms since my anger won’t subside.

“Is this another change?” Dad asked Scarlet who lovingly caressing me into her arms.

“Yes. She’s changing much stronger than I expected.” Scarlet honestly told my Dad that made me looked at her loving face.

“So you knew?” He asked her as we walked back inside the school while Zane and Alwen left there scolding them with their Beta’s authority.

“Not much but getting to know her even now, she’s going to surprise everyone and that’s for sure.” Scarlet said with such assurance in her tone.

“I hope it won’t put her in any danger.” Dad said in his worried tone.

They both didn’t bother to talk within their thoughts instead they let me hear them clearly. I don’t mind since I was around with Scarlet. She chuckled as I cling onto her arm that also made my temper lessen bit by bit.

“Dad, what were you doing here by the way?” I asked my father while we’re walking in the locker area.

“Just checking the pack since Zane linked me about something here and she was right.” Dad replied to me before kissing my forehead since he has to go back for our family.

As we stayed for a bit at the locker area quietly and no one dare to speak a word until Scarlet gave something to me. I looked at her confused but she just smiled then left me at the front of my locker.

“Seriously.” I whispered as I opened the box she gave me. It’s a letter and nothing more.

‘Just simply ask; in one dream, one you and one me, we shall dance under the moonlight’s guidance.’

“Dream? Dance? What does she meant about it?” I asked myself before getting my things at the locker there it goes again.

I saw the same shadow and he took me somewhere in the garden as the moonlight began to shine above us. The moon was indeed different like it’s blessing us and he was grinning from ear to ear. Then I suddenly heard the bell rang and made me rushed to music class.
