THIRTEEN
Back at RIMS, Eva had expected Axel and Jose to have shut down all the equipment for the night, but instead she found them both in her lab. Jose had the computer code open for her Delphi Imago AI program and was engrossed with it.
Axel tutted at her. “Ja, there you are, boss. Why have you not answered your phone? Thomas has been trying to call you.”
Eva pulled her phone from her pocket and saw that she had forgotten to turn the ringer back on; she had turned it off when Mario began to play the guitar. She turned the ringer back on and started to pull up her voicemail. “I’m sorry, I had the ringer off. Is everything all right? Did something happen to Sol?”
Axel held up his hands. “Sol is fine. Take a breather, mama. Then call Thomas. I think you should hear it from him.”
