THIRTY-THREE Eva looked on as her team set up the sound equipment to go through some basic drills with the dolphins. Taffy would get the first turn, so Ruben was in a Zodiac, leading the other dolphins up and down the harbor, giving them some exercise. They could probably all use some exercise after their long trip. Eva and her team had been put up at a local hotel near the waterfront, and Eva had fallen asleep with surprising speed. Sol shared a room with her, and Eva had planned to talk to the girl about what she had done—and what to do about it now that she was here—but they had both been too tired to sort it out. Today, Eva insisted that Sol stay in the master chief’s office and focus on schoolwork. It was far from the same thing as being in school, but it was better than nothing. T
