After Eva alerted Captain Williams to the pending catastrophe, he ordered all sailors not essential to operations of the ship to report to the well deck immediately. There they boarded Zodiacs and inflatable lifeboats for evacuation. Sarah and her squadron took off in their planes. But thankfully, the evacuation proved to be unnecessary. When Jake, Thomas, and the rest of the SEAL team returned from their dive, haggard and tired, they reported that the threat had passed: they’d defused the bomb, and to be on the safe side they had gone over the entire hull and destroyed all the decoy bombs.
