Chapter 01

Marcelli Eirene Banasiewiez Does love need to be beautiful? Or it was like a human, it has flaws. Just like the saying, perfect doesn't exist. So if a love is crystal then it might be untrue. But would cheating be an excuse? Cheating is a flaw to a relationship. Can love be true with the cheating as flaws? "Ei, I'll explain." My boyfriend walked to me. He forgot he's not wearing anything. "Okay," was all I could say after I caught him having a s*x with a girl who knows who. I was damn appalled. We're both so busy for a month that we lack time for each other. So I decided to visit him in his unit just to be welcomed by loud moans and him banging a girl on the bed we shared many times. My eyes were still on that girl that has no shame. She's on her birthday suit and went to the bathroom. At that moment, my mind was blank. I'm not sure what to say or do I even need to talk. I mean I could just walk the hell out of here. "Ei," the man in front of me held my hand. "Please, it's not what you think." I gave him a confused look. Is he seriously trying to deny it? I'm not blind nor deaf for f**k's sake! "Oh, so I didn't just see you humping like a dog on a girl who looks like have been playing around with the boys she just met!" I was taught to watch my words so I wouldn't hurt someone's feelings. But at this very moment. All I could think was to hurt him and make him feel like how he ruined my heart. "Ei, don't say words like that on her---" "Defending her. I see." That just builds my madness on him. "Does she know? Does she know that you're using her to cheat on me?!" His hand landed on my shoulder in an attempt to calm me down. I slap his hand away. Disgusted by the thoughts, he uses the same hand to touch the girl's body. "Don't lay your filthy hands on me." I spat. "Ei, I love you---" my hands immediately fly on his face to stop him from saying bullshits. "Don't!" That's when the tears flowed down. My chest tightened and it made it hard for me to breathe. "I'm in awe to hear such beautiful words from the mouth of a fool like you." He tries to reach me again so I run out of his place. He's naked so I would be out of the building the moment he'll find something to wear. Good thing, the rain stopped as I was walking down the street. I can say that this is a bad day because I didn't bring my car with me with a thought that I will be spending the night with my boyfriend--- ex-boyfriend. And when I thought this day wouldn't get any worse. A Metallic Ferrari passed by, splashing wet mud on me. By the way, I'm wearing white sneakers. Yeah, it wasn't deep. "Sorry!" I heard the man on the wheel yelling, following him is a police car and a black van. At this very moment, I'm not sure what's making me cry. The fact that my almost tenth year boyfriend cheated on me or because my mother will scold me for putting dirt on my white shoes and I'm tired of hearing her rants. Or it can also do all of it. I am so frustrated I stomp my feet, adding another set of wet mud on my shoes. The following days weren't either good at all. I wasn't myself for a week because of what happened. Sometimes when I think of the years he wasted, I want to use the pistol my dad hid in his cabinet for emergency purposes. Requesting my father to send him to a place where getting laid would never be on his mind because of raining bullets wouldn't be that bad too. The guy probably forgot that my father is a lieutenant and that he never wants to come out to my father because he's scared he'll get himself shot to kill. Is this my karma for hiding our relationship? I knocked first on the door of my father's office and just came in when I was told. We did the salute and told me to sit on the visitor's chair in front of his table. Lieutenant Banasiewiez took a folder with my name in the first page of it. He gave it to me and I immediately read the contents. "You're assigned to guard a celebrity. His family will send him away for a while because of his numerous issues." My father told me. "And last week, he was caught for over speeding." I blink enormous times. "You want me to guard a grown up man with a childish attitude?" "We're at work, young lady." He would always remind me to address him as to what his position is when we're not inside the house or we're talking about jobs if I failed to remember. I drop my head. "I'm sorry, sir." My father let out a breath. "His parents decided to send him to a place that is unknown to him and a place that not a lot of people know about him." I have no choice but to listen. "Cars, luxury hotels, money. All that can give him privilege will be taken." He must have seen the frown on my face because he continued to explain. "Allowance will be sent in your bank account and you two will be living in your vacation house in Cebu." "Dad!" I suddenly burst. "You'll make me live with a person I didn't know! What if he's a psycho and has the tendency to kill me!" Seriously!? "Eirene. All was set and ready." My mouth hangs open. "What if he stabbed me while I was asleep?" "This is your job, Eirene." Again. He reminds me. "And you don't have to worry, another team will be there and will stay at the house next to yours and follow the both of you anywhere you go for security. Everything is in that folder." My eyes dropped on the folder I haven't opened because of the shocking news. "The team is just one call away if anything happens." I sighed. I have no choice and my father is right. My ego was just telling me that it was better to die fighting than just sleeping. Then my father looked me straight in the eyes. "There's only one rule." He says. "What rule?" "Don't let him break the rule." "I--- What?" This is making me insane. He leaned on his chair. "You heard me." Okay? "Who's this person?" As if on cue, the door of the office swings open. Revealing a man that was been in a news for everyday for a f**k up reason. "Am I late?" Oren Blair.
