SAVANNA'S DISOWNED PT2

1259 Words
The next day, Savanna's POV I had gone out for a walk, feeling a sense of relief that my dad was recovering well after his heart attack. But little did I know, my life was about to take a dramatic turn. As I walked into my room, I saw my dad sitting on my bed, holding a piece of paper in his hand. He looked up at me with a mixture of shock, worry, and confusion. "Savannah, what is this?" he asked, his voice trembling. I followed his gaze to the paper in his hand and my heart sank. It was the pregnancy test results from the hospital, where I had taken the test a few days ago. I had forgotten all about it, and now my dad had stumbled upon it. I felt a wave of panic wash over me as I realized I had to face this conversation head-on. "Dad, I...I can explain," I stammered, trying to find the right words. But my dad just looked at me, his eyes filled with questions and concerns. "Savannah, is this what I think it is?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. I nodded, feeling tears prick at the corners of my eyes. "Yes, Dad. I'm pregnant." The room fell silent, and I could feel the weight of my dad's gaze upon me. "Dad, I know this is a shock, but please understand-" But my dad cut me off, his voice firm but laced with worry. "Savannah, you're only 20, you have your whole life ahead of you. You can't raise a child right now. You need to focus on your education and your future." "Dad, I know it's a lot to take in, but I can't just-" "Savannah, listen to me," he said, his voice rising. "You need to abort this baby. It's the best decision for everyone involved." I felt a surge of tears and anger at his words. How could he even suggest such a thing? But before I could respond, Ivan burst into the room, his eyes flashing with anger. "What's going on here?" he demanded, his gaze fixed on our dad. "Savannah's pregnant," our dad replied, his voice firm. "And she needs to abort the baby." Ivan's face turned red with rage. "You can't be serious, Dad," he growled. "You can't just tell her to get rid of her baby like it's nothing!" The room erupted into chaos as Ivan and our dad began arguing, their voices raised in anger. I felt a wave of fear wash over me as I realized that my family was tearing apart over my pregnancy. And that's when Ivette walked in, her eyes wide with worry. "What's going on?" she asked, her voice trembling But no one answered. Ivette looked around the room, her eyes darting from one angry face to another. "What's going on?" she repeated, her voice a little louder this time. Ivan and our dad were still arguing, their voices raised in a heated debate. I was sitting on the bed, feeling overwhelmed and tears streaming down my face. Ivette walked over to me and sat down beside me, putting a gentle hand on my shoulder. "Savannah, what's happening?" she asked softly. I took a deep breath and tried to explain, but my voice was shaking. "Dad wants me to abort the baby," I managed to say. Ivette's eyes widened in shock. "What? Why would he say that?" I shrugged, feeling a lump form in my throat. "He says I'm too young, that I need to focus on my future." Ivette's face turned red with anger. "That's not fair!" she exclaimed. "You have the right to make your own decisions, Savannah!" Just then, Ivan and our dad stopped arguing, and the room fell silent. Our dad looked at Ivette, his expression stern. "This is none of your business, Ivette," he said. But Ivette stood up, her eyes flashing with defiance. "It is my business," she said. "Savannah is my sister, and I won't let you bully her into doing something she doesn't want to do!" The argument continued, with Ivette and Ivan standing up for me, while our dad refused to budge. But then, he dropped a bombshell that made my heart stop. "Savannah, it's simple," he said, his voice cold and detached. "You either abort the baby, or I'll disown you. Just like I did with your elder brother years ago." I felt like I had been punched in the gut. I knew my dad was capable of cutting people out of his life, but I never thought he would do it to me. I looked around the room, at the faces of my siblings, who were all urging me to stand up for myself. And then, I looked at my dad, who was refusing to even consider my feelings. In that moment, I made my decision. I stood up, my voice firm and resolute. "Dad, I won't abort the baby," I said. "And if that means you'll disown me, then so be it. I'll raise this child on my own, without your support or approval." The room fell silent, as my dad's face turned red with anger. But I didn't back down. I knew I had made the right decision, no matter how hard it would be. And with that, I walked out of the room, ready to face whatever came next, knowing that I had my siblings' support and love. I walked out of the small apartment, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. I knew I had made the right decision, no matter how hard it would be. I made my way to the bus station, my mind racing with thoughts and emotions. I couldn't believe my dad would disown me over this. But I knew I couldn't stay in a place where I wasn't supported or loved. As I boarded the bus back to Barcelona, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. I knew I was making the right decision, not just for myself, but for my unborn child. When I arrived in Barcelona, I went straight to Dylan and Soarise's humble flat. They could see the look of determination on my face and knew something was wrong. "Savannah, what's happened?" Dylan asked, concern etched on his face. I took a deep breath and told them everything - the argument with my dad, his ultimatum, and my decision to leave the country. Soarise gasped, her hand flying to her mouth. "Oh, Savannah, I'm so sorry." Dylan put a gentle hand on my shoulder. "You're doing the right thing, Savannah. You and your baby will be safe and loved here." But I shook my head. "I can't stay here. My dad has too much influence, and I don't want to risk him trying to take my baby away from me." Soarise's eyes widened in understanding. "Where will you go?" I took a deep breath. "Thailand. My brother is living there, and I know he'll take care of me and my baby. He's already offered to help me get settled and find a job." Dylan and Soarise exchanged a look, and then Dylan nodded. "We'll support you, Savannah. We'll help you get settled in Thailand and make sure you're safe. We'll even help you with the plane ticket and initial expenses." I felt a wave of gratitude wash over me. I knew I had made the right decision, and with Dylan and Soarise's support, I could start a new life in Thailand, free from my dad's influence and control.
