“What the f**k?” “Ouch” Elena winced at the sharp pain that was coming from her nose. She raised her head up from the hard surface she had bumped her face into, wondering how she could be so blind that she couldn't see the tall pillar before her. She rubbed her nose, a frown ok n her face. “Are you blind or what?” A masculine voice came from above. Oh …the pillar talks? “Have you gone deaf or something?” The voice asked again. “Will you shut up!” Elena said angrily, she was in pain and her brain wasn't working normally. “You say what?” The person asked. Elena looked up to glare at the tall man, her breath instantly hitched at the handsome specie before her but then she took a deep breath. “Why are you asking me if I have gone deaf, can't you see that I am in pain? You should be apologizing for bumping into me” She asked angrily, trying so hard to suppress the cloud of red blushes on her cheeks. “Really?, you were the one who bumped into me, now my wine is spilled” he countered, an angry scowl on his face, it could be seen that he was getting impatient but Elena could care less about him. Ste looked down and saw that the man was holding an empty glass whose contents had been spilled on the floor around them, she could even sight a few drops on the tip of her silver heels but she wasn't backing down. “Because your wine spilled doesn't mean that i am actually the one at fault, you could have purposely bumped into me” she said, placing her hands on her waist. “You are ridiculous ... .God I can't believe a whole me would actually stoop this low to argue with a small brained young lady like you” he remarked, almost throwing his hands into the air. “No, you are the most ridiculous person ever, a big brained old man arguing with a small brained young lady” she countered, it could be seen that Elena was getting riled up each minute, she was a hot tempered young lady especially when she wasn't in the eyes of her father. “Yeah, definitely a mad woman, one that should be locked up in a mental hospital,” he laughed. Elena's nostrils widened when she heard this, she gritted her teeth and when the man was unsuspecting, she raised her legs and stomped on the guy's feet hardly, making sure to grind the pointed part of her heels on his toes. Once she was satisfied with the hiss of pain coming from him, she turned and fled. … Beads of sweat rolled down Damien's forehead as he held onto the slender tails of the wine glass. He couldn't believe that just a simple search for someone would lead him to bumping into one of the main reasons he was here and Damn…she was such a wild soul. “What's that look on your face?” Damien twirled around immediately he heard the familiar voice of his best friend, Paul. “I bumped into a mad and rabid dog” Damien answered, thankfully, the wine stains of the ground wasn't all that visible because of the light theme in the hall. Memories of the stupid conversation that he had with Elena flashed through his mind, he could barely hold back the goosebumps arising on his skin. ‘When did he become as cringy and soft as this?’ he wondered. “Mad dog, who let a mad dog into this place, do they want the guests to be attacked or what?” Paul asked, confusion apparent on his face. Damien chuckled loudly “No need to think so much my friend? I was just jesting with you” Damien raised his hand and beckoned to a waiter who was passing by. He swiftly placed the empty glass on the tray and took another one filled with wine. “Thank you” He took a sip and licked his lips, eliciting a frown from Paul “Be careful how you drink Damien, we are in public and the press might be hiding among us” Paul warned but all he got was a chuckle. “You don't have to worry about me” There was a wicked glint in his eyes as he said this. This game was definitely going to be fun and interesting. He couldn't wait for the introduction. … Elena breathed heavily as she held her chest, she couldn't believe that she could do such to a stranger. This was really unlike her. She looked around the crowd of people, wondering if she would be opportuned to see her father instantly. Luckily for her , she caught a glimpse of his well gelled blonde hair and knew instantly where he was. “Would you like a drink mam?” A voice asked, she jolted in shock. The voice she heard just sounded eerily familiar. It was as if she knew the voice from somewhere. She was about to turn to confirm who it was when the person spoke again “would you like a glass of fine red wine”. Her eyes went wide in shock. What exactly was he doing here? “Who even brought him to this place?
