“So, I was right?” Lily asked, and Ava buried her face in her hands. “Yes,” she groaned. “I was right, and you were wrong?” she pressed some more, and Ava huffed in exasperation. “Yes! Fine. You were right.” “See? This is why being in a relationship with a woman is hard. I mean, you girls always think the worst about something. You don’t even give us the benefit of the doubt,” Chris countered and clicked his tongue, leaning heavily against the backrest of his chair. Ava glowered at him. “No one’s making you date women, Chris. If you want, why don’t you date a guy instead? Maybe then, you’ll see how hard it is to be in a relationship with morons.” Lily nodded in agreement at her words but turned to her with a disappointed shake of her head. “Guess you owe your fiancé an apology, huh?”
