Their bickering went on for ten whole minutes before Giovanni threw his hands in the air and decided to stomp off to his room, fuming. Ava who was left in the living room, her hands on her hips, was just looking at his back as he retreated. She had a victory smile plastered on her face. Suddenly, the entire night didn’t seem all that unpleasant and sad. The next morning, she awoke to what seemed like sharp, clicking sounds from plastic wheels grating against tiled floors. Cardboard boxes were being rustled around and through her blurred vision, she could just make out the figures of people walking back and forth in her room.
