I had gotten back to my bedroom to get Maya for the meeting with my dad. “Maya, come on, dad’s waiting for us.” I tried pulling her sleepy body from my bed. “Girl, you literally have a large room like this. I don’t know what you’re doing here.” I jumped on her body and began tickling her. “Stop Jess. Ok fine, stop. I’m awake. We can go now.”
We got out of the room hand in hand and strolled down the long stairs. “Girl, can you believe it?
