Jess’s POV
Today was my fourth date with Dione since the Jordan incident, and I made sure to look my absolute best. I had explained who Jordan was to me, and he completely understood, but I could see the rage in his eyes. It was safe to say I felt safe around him as time went on. Strangely enough, I hadn’t heard anything from Jordan for four days. He suddenly went silent after that night.
The day Jordan had asked me that silly question, I didn’t understand why my stupid words decided to fail me all of a sudden. I know I’ve gotten over Jordan, probably, but I couldn’t say it, and he found satisfaction in my gullible moment.
