Zane couldn’t say anything that would make it easier. He got in enough s**t with her last time he made a comment about her relationship. He stood by his words, but he wasn’t going there again. She’d realize eventually that he was right, and that she deserved better than a guy who’d force her to choose him now or never.
“So, Labor Day,” she said, starting to walk again.
“Yes. What am I doing?”
“We’re having a big picnic. Really a weekend long celebration. Saturday night we’re doing dinners for two in the vineyard. Sunday we’re having a huge picnic with a local band and carnival games and prizes for all the kids. Monday we’re giving everyone who comes in half price tastings and buy five get one free bottles of wine. We did something similar for Memorial Day and it was a huge hit.”
