Zane watched Kristen from the doorway. She ignored everyone around her to watch Ian, a small smile on her lips. Zane watched him, too. He didn’t know the other guy, but it was obvious from Kristen’s smile that it was someone Ian liked. She turned and walked back to the table her family occupied, then stopped in the middle of the yard and spun around. Her eyes landed on him, and she grinned even wider. Zane walked over to her, letting her magnetism drag him under. When he reached her side, she threw her arms around him and laughed. “Hey,” she said, still laughing. “Hi.” “I’m sorry.
