Jason POV
A call entered and I looked at it briefly before taking my eyes back to the movie I was watching
She called again and Ignored it, why is she calling me
A text message entered and I looked at it, what does she want with me I'm not ready to be her pawn again
The call came in the third time and I picked "you've got 2 minutes" i said as soon as I picked
"I won't use up to that" she said "then start talking" I said wanting to end the conversation as soon as possible
"Peony is pregnant and she's having a party next week" She said
"So" I asked trying to act uninterested in what she was saying
"Don't you want to come and say hi, she'll be happy to see you" she said
"Your time's up" I said and cut the call, is she really pregnant or Haven is bluffing
I think I should see her even if it will be for the last time
Annie POV
"So what do you plan on doing" I asked "Non of your bizz" she said
"We are supposed to be partners" I said and she rolled her eyes
"Wait for my signal" she said and left the room without telling me what the signal would be
Writer's POV
"Aren't you going to work" Peony asked but got no reply from Daren
"Hey I'm talking here" she said and looked at her for some seconds and his eyes went back to his tab
"Daren!" She said raising her voice "What do you want" he asked calmly
"I'm talking to you" she said "So?" He asked "You are supposed to reply" she said
"I'm busy" he said and she hissed before turning on the television
"Peony" he called and she ignored "I'm not going to call you again" he said
"What!" She asked angrily "Wanna go out" he asked "I'm busy" she said
"Go upstairs and change we are going out" he said "I'm busy and you can't order me around" she said and hissed
"If you don't go I will carry you upstairs and change you myself" he said
"I'm not going anywhere and you can't boss me around" she said and faced the television
Daren stood up and adjusted his shirt before going over to where she was and carried her on his shoulders
"Hey put me down" she said and tried to wriggle away from him but it was only until he got to her room that he put her down
"So should I do the changing myself" He asked "Why did you carry me that way, it's wrong you can't even carry me in a bridal style" she said frowning
"Why don't we try that again" he said and moved closer to her and she shifted backwards
"Don't come closer to me I won't fall for your tricks again" she said and Daren smiled before he carried her in a bridal style
He entered the bathroom and carefully dropped her into the bathtub
"Do you still need help washing" he asked "Get out" she said making him chuckle before leaving and she smiled to herself
Three days later
"How do I look" Peony asked twirling "Nice I guess" Daren said focused on his phone
"Can you pay attention" She asked "I am paying attention, I'm not just paying it to you" he said and added "use the right words"
"Okay pay attention to me" Peony said and he adjusted himself on the seat before he looked at her
"How does this look" she asked again "Nice but too revealing" he said
"I think it's just fine" she said "Then why are you asking for my opinion" he asked
"Just wanted to know what you think" she said and pouted
"it's too revealing, you are supposed to be a pregnant woman not a s**t" he said and turned his gaze black to his phone
"That was harsh" she said and asked "should I change it"
"Yes I don't like that dress" he said "Then what should I wear" she asked
"Wear a top and not too tight trousers that's not revealing anything" he said eyes still on his phone
"You are worried about the cleavages" she asked and got no reply
"Since you won't answer me I will wear whatever I want" she said and went upstairs angrily
Peony POV
I looked at myself again and the dress doesn't look bad, why does he hate the dress
Why do I even care if he likes the dress or not "You are supposed to be a pregnant woman not a s**t" his words replayed in my ears and I fell on my bed
I'm going to where what ever I like and it's none of his business
The next day
Peony came downstairs wearing the red dress from the other day with a matching red bag and heels
"I told you not to wear that" he said "What I wear is none of your business" she said and entered the car
Haven POV
I looked around and Jason isn't here, is he not coming
He should be here by this time, the party started some minutes ago and he's supposed to have arrived
"It seems like you're waiting for someone" Annie asked "Non of your bizz" I said and walked away
Peony POV
The ride came to a stop and we stepped out, the atmosphere was tense and I was really annoyed I can't act with this emotion
"Daren wait" I said and caught up with him just before he could enter
"What" he asked codly "You can't enter with this mood" I said
"So what are you driving at" he asked "Cheer up you can be mad at me after the party, don't ruin this for me" I said and tucked my hand into his smiling
Jason POV
I alighted from the cab and headed inside, I need to find peony and talk to her
"I thought you wouldn't come" Haven said smiling as she came over to where I was
"Guess you still love her after al" she added and chuckled slightly
"I'm not here to put up with your silly tricks" I said trying to locate peony with my eyes
"She's with well wishers you can't see her now" she said reading my mind
"But I could keep you company before she's alone" she said and winked at me before dragging me to the counter
"Three shots please" she asked smiling
Haven POV
I looked at him as he held the drink, I had his drink spiked so when he meets peony he would act funny
This had to be the time I am with Daren "Come on take it, you will really need it" I said
"Gimme a minute" he said and left with his drink "Did you add it to his drink" I asked the bartender who nodded smiling
Peony POV
"Care for a drink" Jason asked and stood beside me "No" I said not looking at him
"I came to say I'm sorry" he said after an ackward silence
"For what" I asked "For everything I'm really sorry Peony" he said and I looked at him
"I forgive you, Jason" I said and added "though I wish we were still together but life happens"
"Same here" he said and added after some seconds "Can I hug u, I meant a goodbye hug I will be going back to Los Angeles tomorrow"
"Are you not going to marry Haven" I asked "We were never going to get married" he said and I was confused but decided not to press further
"I wish you a safe trip" I said and hugged him, he was shocked at first but he hugged me back
"Thanks" he said and broke the hug, that's when I noticed he was holding a cup
"Can I have a sip" I asked pointing at the cup "You are not supposed to be drinking, you're pregnant" he said
"Just a sip" I said and pouted, smiling at me he he handed me the cup and I gulped all the contents
"Sorry about that" I said and he smiled, "Good bye" he said and kissed me on the forehead before leaving.
