Aila was feeling complicated things after that brief connection with Alfred through their eyes. She suddenly felt so naked being caught off guard. Her reaction no doubt sparked something in her protagonist and she does not want to think deeply into it if she could.
But she still did anyway.
Aila always found herself and thought a lot when things involved the characters of her story. Although she is more or less not involved in most development of the story progression, she instinctively wanted to examine and know more about her own creation. It might sound egoistic of her to say this, but when it comes to her characters she had some sort of complex she cannot describe.
