Aila caught sight of seven newly arrived individuals. They are the rest of the squad's people.
"Hey, did you guys wait for a long time?" A man in sporty attire with a black knapsack on his back said as he scanned over the group of three. Blue eyes lighten up at the sight of Alexa.
He stood up in the crowd he was in. The others are dressed okay, but somehow their temperament doesn't suit what they were wearing. Imagine a group of good looking people—idols for easier description, wearing clothes that either looked too loose or too fit to them. Worse with that, some of the clothing had some rather striking colors, such as neon and other awkward apparel that really looked out of place.
"We were late because we had to make a detour to fetch this guy." The petite girl of the newly arrived group said as she pulled the ear of the said guy. Clearly pissed over something.
Her clothing is composed of a rather big shirt for her size and pale blue pants that are baggy and loose on her, it made her look like a very angry hobo who was out attacking a passer by. She was the shortest of the group, so the man was forced to be the same height as the other.
Her name is Elizabeth Grooves, Albert's crush. She is DancingQueen in their chat. Bubbly and always on the move, though at the moment she's a raging ice that is set on freezing the man she is punishing.
"You dared to play a prank on us when it was already established that we would be coming here." Pink eyes delivering a judgement to the other of 'guilty', no parole or any sort of leeway to invalidate the crime he committed.
The said man let out sounds of pain as he was pulled down. His steel grey eyes are forming tears as he tries to explain himself. He, along with the blue-eyed man, was decently dressed. He wore only a plain white shirt under an unzipped grey hooded jacket.
"Forgive me already, Liza! I didn't mean it. You guys were just not in the right time and place that you ended up in that prank I made. It wasn't even intended for you guys!" He pitifully said as he rubbed his earlobe after Liza had let go of his ear.
"But that didn't warrant you letting it loose on us when we even told you hours in advance that we were coming over." Said a man with dark brown eyes, his eyeglasses gleaming meanly. His clothes looked so fit that his lean muscles were plastered on the green shirt he was wearing. " We have been wet in whatever liquid it was on top of, so you have to borrow your siblings' clothes in order not to be late. And you still dare to say it's not intended for us? Are you mocking our IQs?"
That shut the guy up. He had no excuse for that, but really that prank was prepared for his eldest sibling. It was just that he had forgotten to inform the others about it. ' How the heck did I forget? Mercy was never in our code of friendship! '
He could only endure the roasting they served him with. His heart was weeping for the lack of tenderness that he often sees in others with close bonds. In times like this, he always questions himself why he is friends with hyenas.
At the side, Aila watched them arguing and yelling at Jerome Finn AKA HandsomePoop. Goofy and idiotic are one in the group. In the pack dynamics of a real hyena's pack, he had the least power. As long as this guy doesn't learn from his mistakes and recklessness and teach himself to behave, this kind of thing will happen over and over again.
"Hey Travis." Aila addressed the one in sportswear. "Can you tell me what happened?"
"Well, usual," Travis said with a shrug of his shoulders.
"He apparently prepared a prank for someone that involved some very viscous liquid. Whatever that liquid was, I am not finding out what it was. All I knew was that it was very sticky and gross on the skin. The prank somehow victimized us. See their weird fashion? That was the result. Thankfully, I had some extra clothes in my bag, otherwise I would end up like them."
Hearing that, Aila gave a second of silence for Jerome. Worthy of the name BoyScout, Travis Phillips has avoided wearing awkward clothes. He might be thanking his family, the Philips Philips, for making him always ready to grow up, if not, how miserable and angry he could be if he wasn't prepared for the unexpected.
If Aila herself was in the same situation and she was not as prepared as Travis, she would be thoroughly annoyed as the ones giving Jerome a lecture at the moment. But after that second she spent with the man, she enjoyed herself with the show.
Albert was amused severely with the whole thing, but he had rescued the poor guy from that particularly severe burn by inducing lecture by saying, "Leave Jerome be for now guys. That's not the reason why we're here."
Travis agreed and proposed going to the small cottage intended as a resting area for park goers. He said that it's uncomfortable to be speaking of standing matters. So to the cottage they go.
"So what was the reason you called a hang out Aila?" Dark brown eyes swiping across the space to confirm that each and every one of their group is present. " As far as I remember, you are like this Jerome guy over here that needs to be dragged for things like this. Thankfully, you are not as fussy to retrieve as that dumbass."
"Can you just stop baiting me Harry? I already said sorry." Jerome said as he sat in a downcast manner.
Harry, being very irritated with the whole ordeal, reminded him of a reason why he gained the title Top1. Harry Cloves is a master of many things and right now he wants to level up his mastery into an expert at breaking someone's bones. There is a guinea pig available in his presence after all.
"Shut up you ruined my newly bought clothes." Coldly said the other, eyes practically saying the man is dead to him. Knuckles cracked to show their desire to land on the man's face. " If you don't shut up I'll be giving you a world of pain."
"I second the notion. I'll even volunteer to beat him myself. " Violet's eyes gazing at the man in interrogation with a dead look. He is probably the weirdest combination of clothes among them. A neonny yellow and green t-shirt with vibrant red shorts, he looked so eye -catching that he could be spotted in the distance by how bright his clothes were. With his blond hair in the mix, someone with a particularity of color will probably have a heart attack.
Named Eugene Ruth, he was conferred the nickname TeddyBear by Aila. He is usually gentle with a cold face all day, but today that said cuddly bear is nowhere in sight. Instead, the current Eugene is an angry bear out for someone's blood.
He is reasonably angry with this whole incident, as the rest are. If he can't take revenge in some sort, he is not worthy of being one of the hyenas. He decided that if the grey-eyed man refused to shut up he would have a legitimate reason to tackle the other and maybe give him a bruise or two.
Jerome closed his eyes and turned his gaze on Aila to get some comfort of sorts. But Alexa, who noticed it, subtly moved to block his pleading eyes from its intended purpose. Noticing the intent of the sweet-looking girl, Jerome secretly clicked his tongue when he turned his head to the side, as if he was only downcast and not annoyed by the others.
The rest of the room, except Aila, noticed the exchange. Their eyes gleamed coldly at the form of the steel-eyed man. It was only a moment before everything was harmonious once again.
"So what was the reason you called us?" The man who hasn't talked ever since he arrived asked. Black eyes searched Aila's green ones. Looking for clues as to why the sudden get together.
Aila always felt naked beneath those red eyes' gaze. Felix DeClaire always seemed to see through her and she could never lie in his presence. His title DaddyDearest is not without reason.
Aila took a deep breath as she felt each as everyone's eyes burned into her. They are always like this when something is related to her, almost as if the [world] has arranged them to be her knights, people who will always protect her and her best interest. Now she was back in time. Maybe that was the case, but she refused to believe the bonds they made were not real. After all, even if the world had the capabilities which Aila noticed back then, abilities were limited from what she could see. Therefore, the concern they have for her is at the very least real to continue their friendship.
"I have decided to quit school," Aila plainly said. She said it directly to the point lest some sort of topic would come up that would stray them from what she intended to say.
A girl with ginger hair reacted excessively upon her announcement, teal eyes impossibly large in disbelief. She stood up and grabbed Aila by the shoulders, unbelieving at what she was hearing. "Please tell me you're only joking and not serious about any of what you just said, Aila. Please tell me you're not serious."
"Bella, it hurts." Aila uttered as she felt the other's grip tightening.
Bella Livestone is the PresidentialGirl of their group. She is a very strong girl whose hobby was throwing people over her shoulders. She is their group's dynamic supreme leader.
"Gosh! I'm sorry." Bella said as she let go of the other. "I'm so sorry, Aila, I didn't mean it."
Liza made a zoom to Aila's side and examined the shoulder that Bella had just given a vice grip. Aila winced in a little sting, but overall it didn't hurt as it looked like.
"Travis, do you have some sort of an ointment in your bag?" Alexa asked their ever-ready friend.
"I think I had some." Travis said as he searched for a knapsack. He then gives it to Alexa as he has found it.
