I placed my hands on his cold body, feeling bewildered at the sudden turn of events; although it was anticipated.
A dark figure moved and i caught on to this unfamiliar person's shadow.
"Wait!!",i called out. Torn between chasing the murderer and staying with the already dead victim.
I analysed the situation - even if i chased after that figure, it wasn't entirely guaranteed that i'll be able to catch up to the person. Seeing that whosoever that was already had a five minute advantage and had already covered a large distance during that time frame.
I exhaled, calming my tensed muscles while I tried figuring out my next course of action. I moved my hands around the deceased body, searching for his phone so that i could be able to alert the police.
