Chapter Fifty-Nine
Earth I woke up what felt like minutes after I had left Andrew on his own before dawn. It felt as if I had only slept mere minutes instead of hours, even though the sun was already shining brightly and streaming into the cave. Rubbing the sleep off of my eyes, I propped myself up and looked around the room. The fire had been put out and Alex was the only one besides me in the cave. Quickly, I stiffened as I looked around for any sign of Aileen. Her sleeping bag felt cold as if she hadn't been there in a long time. Cursing to myself, I tried not to think of what that would mean for her wound. If she kept going on like this, she was certainly going to get an infection and that would only weaken her more.
