Chapter 48Two weeks later I received a call from Rocco two weeks later when I was finishing a study group with a few other students from my English Literature class. I was heading back to my dorm when my cell buzzed in my pocket. I stopped, smiled at the incoming number, and found an empty carrel in the busy library to talk to him. He sounded healthier, vibrant, and enthusiastic about his future. When we spoke last, I was saying goodbye to him in the hospital back home in Milton.
