Once again, we were in the training room. This time we had no idea what the mission would be up until an hour before the test.
Once again, my heart was beating a bit too fast for my own liking.
I was standing right next to Patrick as Mathew and his team of selected nobles came in, followed by the trainer that was in charge of this test.
Mathew stood in front of his team like the proud leader that he was. His wolf-like eyes took in each of the members of my team, but he paid none of them any attention. He dismissed all of them as if they did not matter to him. But his eyes did linger on one person... on me.
