Alpha Lucky's Hunted Mate

Fated?

Alpha Lucky POV

As the night progresses, we learn a lot more about the two warriors from two different Packs. This has never happened before having to battle two separate Packs on the same day, and I will find out what is going on.

As my interrogator breaks the first wolf, he begins to tell us his name Troy and that on the order of his Alpha, he is to hunt and bring back a wayward she-wolf that is his to claim. And he insists that no one is to talk to her or approach her for any reason. 

Alpha Lucky asks, what is her name and is she his Mate?

Troy answers Alpha has chosen her as his and forbidden us from saying her name.

Alpha Lucky replies, so she is not his Fated Mate, which means he is forcing her to mate with him if she ran.

Troy says she should consider herself lucky that he wants her to be his Luna.

Alpha Lucky growled and said, answer the question; what is her name?

My interrogator John steps forward and asks, do you need me to get that information for you, Alpha? Alpha Lucky asks, who is your Alpha? And you had better answer me right now. Troy looked over at John and stuttered Alpha Nick from the Bad Blood Moon Pack. It is two counties over.

This scares Troy enough to say her name is Gracie, and the Alpha is going to kill anyone who tries to help her. Alpha Lucky states he is welcome to try because if she is on his land, she will be protected. 

Alpha Lucky instructs his men to take care of him and send him back with the following message: Leave Gracie alone, she is Mine, and I will not let her go. I then take off to search the woods again. I am more than ever convinced that she is my Fated Mate. I must find her and keep her safe.

Gracie's POV

I stand perfectly still because I no longer hear the two Packs that were hunting me. Did they give up? Am I free now? But I can not trust that it is this easy. I must stay vigilant and not let my guard down. I am so afraid to hope to be free of the two Pacts hunting me. 

They mean me harm, and all I want is to find my One True Mate. Please, moon Goddess, send me a sign. I hear a faint yell calling my name, and I am caught between running for my life or find out who is calling my name as I do not recognize the voice. 

 My wolf, Evie, wants to wait; she keeps pacing back and forth, saying, Mate? I do not know what to do, I cry to myself. Should I stay, or should I go? I shift and let Evie take over as she can take-off faster than I can.

Evie POV

Mate is coming closer, Mate is coming closer and closer!

I cannot help but keep pacing. Will Mate be accepting me, or will he reject me? I smell him, and I smell rain and spice. And I want to get closer; he smells so good. I hope he wants me, and I hope he will protect me from the nasty wolves. Please, Moon Goddess, let us desire Gracie and me. 

Alpha Lucky POV

Her scent is getting stronger. I must be getting closer. Suddenly I see the most beautiful wolf I have ever seen appear between the trees. I start to head toward her when I catch another unfamiliar scent in the wind, and I know they must be after Gracie. 

I shift to my human shape so that I can call out to her to run to me that there is danger coming for her. I see her wolf lift her head and sniff then, she charges straight to me. I shift back to my wolf so that I can protect my Angel. I mind-link my Beta Jake, hostile incoming send all available warriors I have found my Mate.

 I nudge my Angel to get behind me, and I prepare to defend her until my last breathe if it comes to that. I feel Gracie get closer to me, and I hear her whine, and that is when I notice my wolf pack coming up from behind to help protect their Luna. As the wolf pack of intruders approaches us, they come to a halt, and one wolf shifts and says, "we mean no harm to your wolf pack; we just want our wolf back. She belongs to Alpha Nick." Alpha Lucky replies, she is my Fated Mate. 

And she stays with me if you leave now we need not fight but if you refuse only one of you will go back with a message. And that message will be that we will destroy his pack; if he dares to try and track her down. Now, what will it be? I could see him mind-link his Alpha, and so we waited. The unknown man reported that the Alpha had declined his offer and that the female must be returned. 

Alpha Lucky replies, so fight it is then. The stranger shifts back to the wolf and charges at Alpha Lucky, which Alpha Lucky saw coming, and with one swipe of his paw decapitated the unknown wolf. Seeing this, the rest of the pack of unidentified wolves charged, unaware that the warriors were right behind the trees and ready to attack.

And the fight is on, and here comes Alpha on the inside and the fighters trying not to fall. I felt the pack help me defend our Luna, and in no time, we had killed all but one lone wolf. As promised, he was sent to deliver the message and to try to talk to his Alpha not to pursue the female. I then shifted back to human, and I waited for Gracie to do the same. Then I grabbed her hand and headed for the Pack House to give us a chance to get to know each other.
