The shadow forest was even more terrifying than she had anticipated. The trees towered above her, their heights impossible to discern. Their branches intertwined in a chaotic mass, creating a never-ending labyrinth of darkness. And then there were the inhabitants of this cursed place. Black wolves, larger and more powerful than any she had encountered before, seemed to rule over the forest with an iron grip. They fed on the darkness and fear that permeated the forest, making them unlike any ordinary werewolf or pack she had ever heard of.
Their first encounter, just an hour ago, had been overwhelming in every sense. Her wolf had attacked them, trying to assert dominance. She had sensed their leader's aura and recognized him as the one in charge of this shadow
