Geoffrey looked on helplessly. I have heard a few rumors about Charles’s behavior toward our female employees, so this is not unprecedented, but my own daughter? Rage overtook him with unexpected force. That bastard dared to touch my little girl. I’ll kill him for that. How could I have been so blind as to push her to marry him? It would have been good for business, but what does that matter? He glanced again at Rosalind, cuddled close in her fiancé’s arms, taking comfort in his embrace. Clearly, she has chosen this man, and he admittedly has a lot to offer. Not to mention the touching, tender way he’s comforting her. My attempt to find a husband for her did not go well. I will have to trust her judgment. He decided then and there that if Rosalind wanted Vidal, she would have him.
