So, dinner didn’t end quite the way I had hoped, Vidal thought. Still, it was not entirely unsuccessful since Rosalind finally ate something. When no one was looking, he fed her small bites of the mousse, trying to capture a romantic mood for them. He longed to kiss her, to carry her upstairs to his bed and make love to her all night long. She’d be agreeable, I know it. He cursed the watching eyes silently. Two more endless weeks before she will be mine for all time. I thought I wanted to treat her like a lady and wait, but now that I’m forced to do so, it’s terrible. Every time he looked into those limpid green eyes, his self-control took a battering.
