CHAPTER FIVE
Nicole was warm. Very warm. She couldn't remember the last time she'd been this warm. When she tried to move, she realized that it was near impossible. Raising her head as far as she could, she noticed that large arms were wrapped around her frame, her back against a solid form. Instantly, she knew it was her mate.
Her mate had chosen to disregard the 'rules' she had established. Which included staying on his side of the humongous bed, and keeping his arms off her. It was a pretty lengthy conversation they had the night before. She'd actually preferred the comfort of the couch, but being a controlling and overprotective mate, Jake had instantly refused.
She tried to move from his grasp but later realized that her attempts were useless. She couldn't say she hated the warmth,
