I only saw Lucien’s group enter the compound from my vantage point in a village on the side of a hill overlooking the twins’ turf at dawn that day. Perfect timing. The main pieces of the puzzle were now in one place; Lucien, the twins and, most importantly, Lena. All of the pieces I’d manipulated into place, exactly where I wanted them.
“Tell King Jubril to relay.” I commanded my lieutenant. "Everyone's in position. We move in one hour."
The lieutenant nodded and left to deliver the missive. Returning my focus to the compound, I peered at activity and movement down below with my Lycan sight. Guards were on edge, obviously knowing something was coming. But they didn’t know what or when, and so that gives us the edge.
