LENA’S POV The world exploded in a rush of the senses when Ash finally dashed to a halt. I felt myself pressed through a doorway, the scent of ancient wood and old beer filling my nose. An inn. We were in some kind of inn. “Ash, just please,” I panted as he dragged me up a narrow staircase. "Please, just listen to me." He didn't respond. His grip on my wrist was an iron one, it bruised me. I could feel him trembling on the door. The True Alpha strength seeped off him in waves, thick and cloying. We arrived at a room at the end of a dusky hall.
