We've been too hard on Tulsa. By this point in the story you probably don't think too highly of her behavior. Why? Well, you're going to say she is manipulative...deceitful...a woman using her beauty to defraud others. But is she? From where I'm sitting, she's a go-getter that left home at eighteen. Rather than going straight to college where she would have incurred massive student loans and earned a degree that (most likely) wouldn't have provided her with a steady, secure job anyways, she followed another path. She experienced life. She moved to the big city and that in and of itself took balls. She met and married a man, and sure, she wasn't really in love with him...but did he ever love her?
