Rosabelle's POV-
"Ah..." I sigh when I finally see the borders of my pack. It's been quiet a time and I happy to be back here. But I cannot go in now. I'll go when it's time. I'm sure Dargan must have started his journey or might be getting ready to start if he still hasn't.
I hope Nina takes care of everything.
"Time to set up a tent." I mutter to myself before hiding again from the eyes of the guards.
Just a little more waiting.
Third Person's POV-
In the Castle of the Royal Pack-
The knock at the door of Rosabelle's chamber startles Nina.
She quickly moves to the door expecting the Alpha but to her horror, Roald stood there with an innocent and polite smile on his face.
Nina becomes pale seeing him and all the things from yesterday's night suddenly plays in her mind.
"Can I see the Queen?" Roald asks as if he didn't force her to suck his d**k the other night.
"You know, she isn't here." Nina says looking down. After what happened, she couldn't sleep. She denied talking to anyone and eating even. All night, she only wished that Rose succeeds and comes back to her. All night, her mother's word haunted her.
"Nina, the world of Royals looks beautiful from outside but always remember, behind the masks exist vile demons. They play dirty games for power while mainting good faces. So always stay away from them to stay away from troubles, because they won't think twice before crushing Common people like us under their feet." Miriam had told her when Nina was a little girl.
"I know but I want to hear the answer which you'll give to the Alpha King. You won't just confess to him now, would you?" He asks coming inside and Nina takes a step back.
"Uh! You seem scared. C'mon, aren't we good friends? Close friends?" He asks hinting at the previous night.
Nina still finds it unbelievable that Roald turned out to be an evil man, but of course, now she believed her mother.
"I'll say that she is sick." She says with her head still low.
"Hmm... But what if he finds out?" He asks.
"He won't. I'll tell him he can't see her." She says not wanting to hive away any more information.
"So, yesterday I couldn't ask because you know, I couldn't get rid of lips grasp, but... where is the Queen?" He asks before leaning closer to her.
"She has gone to her Kingdom. To win it back." She says and Roald's eyes twinkle with amusement.
Bet Alpha would have fun taming our wild Queen!
He thinks smirking.
"How can you be so sure? Probably she is already dead." Nina snaps her head at him hearing his words.
"The rogues must have found her wandering in the dark woods all alone. Probably they took her captive." Roald says making Nina nervous.
"She'll be fine. She knows how to defend herself. You remember the combat, don't you?" She asks and her question angers Roald instantly.
He suddenly grabs her jaw and squeezes it tightly.
"I held myself back. You understand? I held myself back!" He says through clenching teeth but Nina knows better.
If you really held yourself back, you wouldn't be this desperate to prove yourself.
Nina nods reluctantly before he pushes her away.
"You better get ready for my c**k if you want to protect this secret!" He spits and leaves the chamber with fast steps and fuming like a bull.
A lone tear streams down Nina's face and she quickly wipes it away.
I'm waiting for you, Rose. I know you'll win and come back to me. And when you do, you'll punish this evil Lord. I know you will.
Nina smiles sadly before getting up.
Just a little more waiting.
Somewhere in the forest-
Ralph walked through many people doing their day to day work before he reaches a group of children of age seven to ten, playing together while giggling.
"Hey, boys! Having fun?" He asks and kneels to their level before rushing the hair of the boy standing nearest to him
"Yes! I beat Meer in wrestling twice!" Jim says while Meer pouts.
"He is really good in wrestling, Ralph." Meer pouts making Ralph chuckle and rufle his hair.
"It's alright. You'll get better, moreover, you know your voice is beautiful and Jim's voice can make anyone's ears bleed." He says making everyone laugh with their small hands on their mouth.
"Okay, so, have you seen Tara? Do you know where he is?" He asks the children before they all point in one direction behind them.
"Alright. You guys continue." Ralph says before going towards the pointed direction.
He finds Tara among the girls holding different scent bottles as he sniffs one after the another.
"Tara." Ralph gets his attention and he smiles looking at his right hand.
"Here!" Tara throws a bottle towards Ralph who catches it easily.
"Check that out!" Tara says and Ralph sniffs the perfume.
"I think it's your new favourite." Ralph says coming beside Tara who grins sniffing others.
"Oh, it is!" He says taking the perfume back and thanks the young girl with green eyes who prepared it.
"Mare more of that, Jenny." He says before turning to Ralph and the girls leave the both.
"Tara, a female warrior from the Royal pack was seen ridding the horse towards the Might Moon Kingdom. She was alone and I saw her when she took a break for a while. I saw her face and, I think... it's her." Ralph says making Tara turn around instantly.
"Are you sure?" He asks walking closer to his right hand.
"Well... she matched the description. Black long hair, blue eyes, and... rest of the features matches the sculpture you have of her face." He says not wanting to anger his Tara by describing all her features. He knows, Tara will get mad at how closely he noticed his princess.
"Hmm... I'll go see her for myself then. If she is here, then it's my good luck and if she is not, then you are dead for giving me a false hope." He says while walking past Ralph who only smirks at his Tara's back.
"You won't be disappointed. If she is not the one, then it simply means that you need to improve your sculpting skills." He says but Tara ignores him and continues moving on his four legs feeling impatient to find out the truth. It won't be long before he reaches her, and if Goddess blesses him, he'll see her for himself before the Might Moon Kingdom's walls hide her from his view.
Just a little more waiting.
Meanwhile at the Royal pack-
Dargan moves swiftly through the hallways taking quick turns and steps. When he sent a maid to check upon his wife, he didn't expect to hear that she has fallen sick and wouldn't be able to make it.
Dargan barges inside Rosabelle's chamber and Nina quickly sits straight on the bed.
"Alpha. Alpha, I suggest we do not make much sound. The Queen needs rest." She says bowing down as Dargan stares at the bed where his wife laid.
"How did she fall sick?" He asks her coldly.
"I don't know, Alpha. She was feeling unwell since yesterday morning and couldn't leave the bed the whole day. She needs rest and care." She says without showing how nervous she was getting.
Dargan slowly moves towards the bed before Nina stops him.
"Alpha, she has just slept. If she wakes up, she'd again struggle and feel sick. Please, don't do anything that might wake her up." Nina says and Dargan resists from pulling the covers.
He simply nods and steps back.
"Take care of her." He says and leaves teh chamber frowning to himself.
Did she fall sick because of me?
Nina lets out a breath of relief and pulls the the covers before readjusting the pillows serving as Rosabelle.
Dargan on the other hand starts the journey without his wife. He can't help but feel a little guilty for his behaviour.
What am I thinking? Ma said, Bella must understand me. She said she needs to understand me, and I need to stop caring about her. I have married her for a reason and that is it.
He leaves his pack and starts the journey but the thoughts of his wife doesn't leave him alone.
Would she be sad because she couldn't meet her parents? Would she hate me thinking it was my decision to not take her with me?
He clenches his palm tightly as he finds himself thinking about Rosabelle again.
Two days. Just two days and I'll back to my fierce wife.
Just a little more waiting.
