I've just realised something.

A week really goes fast when you're working on a tight deadline. It's been four days, and I don't see myself anywhere close to getting the prize.

Stella is a really nice girl, which makes this even harder to pull off. There's a sense of slight vibing between us. Especially now that I spend most of my time with her after school. She's really the friendly type I must admit. But if I get friend zoned here, I can kiss that membership to the pack goodbye.

I'm really trying to get to the c****x of this relationship. But the thought of calling it off when she gets there holds me back. Plus I have to keep reminding myself of rule number 5.

I've got a few days left, and I really need to up my game.

So being that it was desperate times, I actually asked my sister for advice on how to make a girl like me better. She firstly had a good laugh from it, claiming, "you're a disappointment to all pretty boys in the world".

But she eventually gave me some advice in her usual harsh voice and choice of words.

"Clearly you're strength is your awkwardness, so use that to your advantage. Seems to be a really pathetic way to woo a girl, but really it's all you got bro".

So I took her advice.

The next day in class Jessie found me in the library strolling through a Marvel comic, hidden behind an encyclopedia.

"You don't see that everyday" , Jessie stated. I turned to her, and said, "you mind not telling anyone what I do during this period" . Jessie smiled and sat next to me. "Well I wouldn't want to ruin your gentleman status, so you've got a deal", she told me.

Jessie paused for a bit.

"You seem different Alex ", Jessie exclaimed to me. "What makes you say that", I respond. "I don't know. It's just something is different about you" , Jessie replied. I thought to myself, "you don't know the half of it".

It seemed between all the girls I usually interacted with, Jessie was the easiest one for me. I didn't have to over think my next words, or how to switch up the conversation. It just felt natural, so the words naturally flowed out of my mouth.

"How do you get a girl to like you" , I confidently asked Jessie.

Jessie turned to her side and noticed her friends calling her. She quickly got up, and before she left she said to me, "I guess by being yourself".

A few days later I was at the ice cream place with Stella where I seemed to be making progress the first time around. All I needed to do now was to seal the deal and kiss her. I mean she was clearly waiting for it.

But the problem was I never kissed a girl before. And I guess she got tired of waiting so she had to ask, "When are you going to kiss me, or are you just wasting my time dude"

She's really the forward type too. I could have played it cool, but my sister's advice rang in my ears of my obvious awkwardness. As did Jessie's advice. So I used them both to my unfortunate advantage and told Stella, "I've never kissed a girl before. It's a new experience".

She looked me deep in the eyes, smirked a little and said, "really? Well then let me give you a taste of that new experience".

She grabbed me by my collar, pulling me to her for one deep kiss that probably lasted five seconds or even more. I held nothing back, and added a few more seconds to her's. I made sure this first experience was going to something we'd both remember. Afterwards we stopped kissing, and just looked at each other, as spit stains were left on each others lips.

I took a second to ponder by myself, "did I just score"

You can never forget your first;

that feeling will hold you down on it's worth I suppose.

Later...

Your boy was now feeling himself, as he was making his way back to the pack hideout.

I walked into the room where the other members were sitting around a table, still feeling like the man.

"Fresh blood, you seem to be in a good mood", the Alpha exclaimed. "I guess you can say I had a taste of the new experience ", I replied to him in full confidence.

Both The Alpha and Dave laughed, afterwards the other members.

"What's up", I asked them.

"Cockiness will just get your balls put on the chopping block later on fresh blood", The Alpha explained.

After he said that, I felt instantly humbled.

"Anyway, give me a report back. What happened with you and Stella", Alpha asked me. "We kissed", I replied.

ImmedIately I heard one of the members drop the F bomb, then afterwards I heard another one yell out, "pay me", across the room.

I guessed people were convinced that I wasn't going to get this far. But I definitely proved all of them wrong.

The Alpha seemed surprised, while Dave smirked and whispered to him, "I told you the kid had potential".

"Well then I guess he does", The Alpha exclaimed. "Cutting it really close though I must say. Well done fresh blood", he finished off saying.

Everyone began to applaud my efforts, and I felt quite proud of myself. But it was soon cut short by what Dave had to say. "Despite your achievements, the test isn't quite finished kid".

I looked at him with a confused face, asking, "Wait I thought".

"Change of plans kid. Alpha and I have been talking and we think wooing Stella is really child's play for anyone one of us. But your task hasn't changed. You're still going to break it off with her at the c****x. But that's after you sleep with her", Dave told me.

The room fell quite, as did my heart. I was lost for words and just reluctantly nodded my head.

I was really a fool for thinking being part of a pack would be that easy.

"I'm confident that you'll pull through kid", Dave said to me.

I left the hideout and went to my secret spot by the orchard tree. As I sat by the edge of the ledge, I started to think to myself, "to sleep with a girl would mean losing my virginity".
