Her methods might work on human men, but she was just unlucky to run into him.
Rock Johnson dropped his usual expression, donned Parish's signature charming smile, and said affectionately, "Of course not, darling. I just said that to make you understand that you're not indifferent to me. You may not have realized it yourself, but I can feel it."
Lilian lowered her head and said, "Perhaps you are right, young master. However, I am just a maid and do not wish to think too much."
On the surface, Lilian was very respectful , but in her heart she couldn't help but complain.
He changes his attitude so quickly; even if you can't see the demon hidden inside him, only a lunatic would like him!
Rock Johnson then looked away with satisfaction.
There's at least some progress, so he's not in a hurry.
When she feels everything is in the bag, she will naturally respond to his "proposal," and at that time, he will give her a surprise.
Rock Johnson finished his breakfast slowly. He himself didn't need to eat, but Parish's body did, and he still needed to use this body, so he couldn't avoid it.
After breakfast, Lilian quietly packed her things, bowed, and left, with Waldo seeing her to the door.
Rock Johnson 's small house was near the garden. He poured himself a glass of wine from the Paraná Plateau, and soon saw Lilian leaving alone below with a food box.
She hadn't gone far when she was stopped by three maids. Rock Johnson raised an eyebrow and recognized one of them as the maid he had been experimenting with that day; her name seemed to be Abigail or something like that.
Parish himself had excellent hearing. Rock Johnson could hear their conversation simply by gently pushing open the glass window. After listening for a while, he gave a cold laugh, turned around, and went downstairs.
Lilian breathed a sigh of relief after leaving Parish's small building. Facing the legendary demon, and a malevolent one at that, she felt immense pressure.
She hadn't gone far when three maids appeared in front of her, blocking her way.
"You're the new Lilian , right?" The blonde Abigail stood with her hands on her hips and her chin raised, her figure so striking that it was impossible to look away.
Lilian glanced at the three maids; each had her own unique features, but without exception, they were all beautiful and haughty.
Most importantly, they were hostile towards her.
Lilian smiled amicably and said, "It's me."
Lilian up and down , then gave her a disdainful look: "She's not that good-looking either."
Another maid with long, light blonde hair covered her mouth and chuckled, "That's right, even compared to me, she's far inferior."
Finally, the brown-haired maid glanced at Lilian , raised her chin disdainfully, and asked her condescendingly, "Tell me, is the legend true?"
Lilian didn't want to clash with these maids. She had spoken out against Lily without restraint earlier because Lily had failed the selection and wasn't at the Earl's mansion. But these maids had arrived before her, and it wouldn't be wise for her to fall out with them.
“I don’t know what the legend is about, but I do know that every legend has a fabricated part, or even is entirely made up,” Lilian said sincerely.
Lilian 's words clearly failed to persuade the three of them.
The blonde Abigail glanced at the food box Lilian was carrying and said angrily, "You just came from Young Master Parish's place, didn't you? Logically speaking, Young Master Parish doesn't need a new maid like you when he's dining. Why did it have to be you?"
"Yes, did you seduce young master Parish in some way?" Kelly, with her light blonde hair, frowned and glared at Lilian , but there was a hint of longing hidden in her question.
Fiona, with her brown hair, was much simpler. She stepped forward with a cold smile, raising her hand as if to teach Lilian a lesson.
However, Lilian was prepared and immediately took two steps back upon seeing this.
Fiona was shocked that Lilian dared to dodge, and actually managed to do so. This made her feel extremely embarrassed, and a look of shame and anger flashed across her face. She turned to look at her companions and laughed fiercely, "Abigail, Kelly, what do you think we should do to teach her the rules here?"
Lilian sighed inwardly. She felt that her previous ideas were too naive. Even if she wanted to get along with them, there was nothing she could do if they were unwilling.
Thinking about it carefully, they're not in the kitchen, so it doesn't matter if their relationship is bad; they're not going to see each other every day anyway.
Lilian isn't the type to suffer a loss. Since Lili dared to push her and frame her before, she dared to steal the job that Lili had been longing for.
Seeing that the three of them seemed to be joining forces to attack her, she realized that she was unlikely to win against all three of them, and immediately came up with a plan.
“I advise you not to be so impulsive.” Lilian didn’t back down an inch, looking at the three of them without fear, and laughed, “No matter what you heard, I can tell you that the truth is even more exaggerated than what you heard.”
Abigail pulled Rafiona aside and glared at Lilian : "What do you mean by this?"
Lilian smiled and said, "It wasn't me who seduced Young Master Parish; it was him who insisted on marrying me, but I just haven't agreed yet."
She tossed her long hair and winked at them: "Young Master Parish is infatuated with me. If he knew you were bullying me like this, do you think he would kick you out?"
"You're talking nonsense! How could young master Parrish possibly be interested in you?" Kelly shouted angrily, unable to bear the "truth" Lilian was spouting.
