Fiona, not to be outdone, chimed in, "The Mage Association is where elemental mages study, but we don't have one in Bluestone City. The nearest Mage Association is in Green Pine City. Because we don't have one here, we rarely see mages. I heard the Earl's Mansion recruits some mages as guest retainers, but I haven't seen a single one."

“Mages prefer to be alone, so they don’t usually appear at the Earl’s mansion,” Abigail said. “That guy over there only arrived a few days ago. I heard he was recovering from an injury inflicted by a legendary monster! By the way, Lilian , you weren’t here yet when he arrived.”

“Hey, I heard he was injured in an assassination attempt?” Kelly retorted.

"I heard it from Kanley, who told you?"

"I don't remember, but what I heard is definitely closer to the truth!"

"Hehe, what nonsense are you talking about? Even the master praised Kanlei, how could he be lying?"

Lilian was getting increasingly anxious watching Abigail and Kelly engage in sarcastic banter about "whose rumor was closer to the truth."

They haven't even said what level a four-star mage is! What is an elemental mage? Is Father Louis in the church a mage? Or is the power system different?

Unfortunately, before the three of them could finish arguing—yes, for some reason, Fiona inexplicably joined their verbal battle, and the three of them argued fiercely on their own— Lilian 's break time ended. Seeing Rebecca waving to her from afar, Lilian had no choice but to say goodbye to the three of them and rush back.

The three of them were still arguing when Lilian left.

This was Lilian 's second day at the Earl's manor, and she was still learning new things. Aside from being specifically requested to come by Parrish, Lilian , as a newcomer, didn't need to deal with the Earl's lord.

I don’t know if it’s related to those “extortion” incidents, but when I was learning in the kitchen, more people came to talk to Lilian , mostly trying to find out about her relationship with Young Master Parish from various angles, and what happened between them.

Aside from clarifying that she had no relationship with young master Parish, Lilian didn't say anything else.

Lilian came to work at the Earl's mansion on the third day , she felt that the restless atmosphere of the previous day had instantly calmed down.

Lilian learned from the maids who worked with him in the kitchen that because so many people were trying to scam Young Master Parish, the Earl's head butler was alarmed. He was furious and summoned all the maids who were scamming him, giving them a dressing down and deducting half a month's wages from each of them.

So, things quieted down at the Earl's mansion again.

As Lilian listened, she covered her mouth and feigned surprise, perfectly conveying the astonished and innocent emotion of "There is such a thing?" No one suspected that she was the one who started it all.

Even Abigail and the other two thought that they had come up with this method to attract young master Parish's attention, never imagining that it was all the result of Lilian's deliberate guidance.

Lilian brought breakfast to the demon for the third time, she couldn't help but sigh. Even the demon was so lazy. He loved to sleep in. It was already past eleven o'clock when the demon's personal servant, Waldo, finally came to ask her to bring the breakfast over.

Lilian only glanced at it before not daring to look any longer; today's demon still looked terrifying.

Breakfast was as lavish as ever. Lilian stood respectfully to the side, watching the demon finish his meal.

Not wasting food is probably the only redeeming quality of this demon.

Seeing that the demon had finished eating, Lilian went to tidy up the things. But as soon as she got close, she saw the demon suddenly clutch his stomach, cold sweat pouring down his forehead.

Lilian was startled. Was this demon trying to frame her by poisoning her? Was he getting impatient and trying to get her imprisoned so that he would force her to sign a contract with him when she was desperate, and then forcibly obtain her soul?

Lilian 's mind raced with all sorts of thoughts, and she broke out in a cold sweat.

Waldo's reaction was much more direct. As he helped young Master Parish toward the bedroom, he shouted to Lilian , "Go find Father Louis quickly!"

Lilian quickly agreed and went out. Once outside, the cold wind made her instantly excited.

Perhaps the truly powerful Father Louis can see through the demon's true form and destroy it! After all, the priest wasn't summoned by her to exorcise the evil spirit, so even if the priest fails, the demon can't pin the blame on her.

After all, in that demon's eyes, it was impossible for her to know that young master Parish harbored a demon within him!

Lilian was new and didn't know how to find the priest, so she went back to the kitchen, found Rebecca, and briefly explained the situation. Even the usually prim and proper Rebecca was startled and, without asking any more questions, hurried off to find the head butler.

What happened after that had little to do with Lilian . The head steward hurriedly sent someone to fetch Father Louis, which was a privilege reserved for the lord and his family when they were ill; they could simply call him "Father."

When Father Louis arrived, Lilian watched him from afar. He was a slightly overweight middle-aged man with thinning blond hair; it seemed even God couldn't save him from baldness. His expression was compassionate, exactly as Lilian had imagined a clergyman to be.

When the priest rushed over, Earl Wilson was already there and was anxiously watching over Parish. After all, Parish was his only son with a right of succession, and he loved this son very much and did not want anything to happen to Parish.
