CHAPTER 13: I'M SORRY I DID NOT MEAN,
"Congratulations bro," John said while hugging him.
"Thank you, brother!" Adrian replied.
"So what's the plan? we need to celebrate, you are now the new CEO of Romano Corporation."
"You tell me."
" Hmm... how about this coming Friday night?" in the same place, John said.
"Not on Friday night, there will be a banquet, prepared for me, for the official announcement of my position as CEO of our company."
"How about on Saturday night? exactly the next day there is no work."
"Ok deal, Saturday night."
"By the way, why are you here?"Adrian asked.
"I will invite you for lunch." john replied
"Seriously! you came here just to invite me to have lunch with you."
"why? is it bad to be with you at lunch."
"Not really, but I'm busy!" Adrian protested.
John frowned while looking at him,
"Okay don't show me your face like that, go ahead and find a restaurant. I'll follow you. Suddenly he said. I'm just going: to sign some documents."
"Okay, he said and stood up with a genuine smile."I'll call you when I'm there. And he turned towards the door to go out.
"All right, I will just finish this, and I will be next to you,"
"Sure take your time and he waved his hand."
When John came out of Adrian's office he noticed the woman standing next to the Xerox machine. He was fascinated by its beauty., she has an angelic face with a small chin and rosy lips, he stared at it from head to toe, the woman was 167cm tall the body is slim. She is wearing a business suit with black pants and three inches black shoes that add to her height.
He was staring at the woman. Suddenly the woman turned to him, he suddenly lowered his gaze, in embarrassment,
he felt his cheek heat up in embarrassment he just turned around and went straight to the elevator.
The woman was left wondering at the reaction of the man who left. she just shrugged. and ignored it. and she continued what she was doing.
After an hour Adrian stood up he put on his jacket went straight to the door and left his office. when he came out the door he saw Mary Ann busy at her table.
"Mary Ann, he called his assistant, the woman was startled and suddenly stood up on her seat."
"Yes, Mr Romano do you need anything?"
"Have you eaten yet?"
"Not yet sir?"
"Come with me," and they walked towards the elevator.
They were in the elevator when Adrian's cellphone suddenly rang.
"Hello, where are you?" The one on the other line said.
"We're on our way, where is that place?"
"I will send you the location."
"Go ahead, he answered and ended the call. In a while, his phone rang and there was a messaged."
John was sitting in the corner near to the glass window of an Italian restaurant, he was looking at the door when he saw Adrian approaching there is a woman next to him.
Wasn't it the woman earlier outside Adrian's office? John told to himself.
Adrian and Mary Ann, we're about to enter the restaurant when he bumped with someone.
"Oops sorry!"
Adrian was shocked, he stared to the woman with Pleasant-heart-shaped face, gorgeous hazel eyes with perfect eyebrows. nice nose matched with plump lips. especially noticeable its dimple on both cheeks.
Lily is in a hurry to get out of the restaurant when she suddenly collided to the sturdy chest. Vincent came out before her because she went to the bathroom, she was about to leave the restaurant, When her cellphone suddenly rang. as she looked at her cellphone inside of her bag, while walking, She suddenly ran into the sturdy chest.
"I'm sorry I did not mean, I was just in a hurry!" the woman said.
"Lily hurry up we will be late," calls the man waiting outside of the restaurant.
" I'm sorry I did not mean. I was just in a hurry!" Lily apologize. And she suddenly left before he could speak, he was left stunned.
"Are you okay sir?" Mary Ann asked.
Adrian regained his senses. when he heard Mary Ann's voice."Yes, I'm fine." He replied,
"What happened to you?" Vincent asked with a hasty voice.
"Didn't you see, I collided with the man." She's massaging her forehead.
"You are a fool because you do not look at what you are walking."
"Because my cellphone rang."
"Why? who's calling you?"
"I don't know, I didn't answer, because I suddenly ran into the man. wait and let me see, Who called?" she said.
Checking her phone, she frowned, "I do not know this number?"
"What is that? that even caused you to be stupid." He teased,
Lily's face becomes gloomy, "Hey, please have mercy on me, it hurts to get bumped by a man. don't you see his body, seems to be taken care of with exercise?"
They're talking while walking towards the parking lot, "Let's get on and we'll be late." said Vincent and opened the car door for her, after lily went inside he closed it .and he got into the driver's seat. he turned on the car engine and they left.
Mary Ann saw a man sitting in the corner near the window, his facing them, She remembered this man earlier in the office. when she noticed that her boss was going in his direction.
"Do you have someone with you?"
"yes, my assistant," Adrian replied.
"Mary Ann this is my best friend John." he introduced him.
John suddenly stood up and held out his hand to shake hands, and Mary Ann accepted its handshake.
"I am honoured to meet you, Mary Ann."
"Nice to meet you, sir," and they shook hands.
They were already inside the car when suddenly her cellphone rang again.
as before she doesn’t know the owner of the number.
"Hello,"
"Hello is this Lily? the voice on the other line asking."
"yes this is lily, who is this? she asked in return."
"Lily, I am Donna, I was a former classmate of yours with Vincent in high school. do you remember me?" reminding of the one on the other line.
"Donna, she mentioned and thought
yes, I remember, she answered and at the same time, she asked, Why did you? call and how did you get my number?"
"To one of our former classmates," Donna replied.
"All right, so do you have something to say?"
"Yes, I called because I want to invite you and Vincent on Friday night."
