Chapter 3: HE CALLED SOMEONE
It's all happened as one day, He told me that I have to work for overtime,
I didn't recognize, that he kept an evil plan. he called me to his office. As I pushed and open the door. I saw a bottle of red wine and two glass wine the other glass was already filled with wine and the other one is still empty. evidence that still not been used and an ashtray full of cigarette butt's one lighter and pack of cigarettes. on a table in the middle of the two sofas. She found him sitting in one of the sofas.
"Sir! You called me?" She asked as soon as he entered the room.
"Yes, Ms Dela Cruz, he responds as he lit a cigarette stick"
"Please sit down, he pointed the vacant sofa opposite of him."
Seeing her boss, she suddenly felt nervous, though she's hesitant to sit, to her respect she still sit on the sofa.
He poured red wine in an empty glass and offered it to her that he is expecting her to drink with him. "Have a drink with me."
"Sorry sir, I am not drinking ." She said in a low voice. and he dropped off the glass on the surface of the table, he stood up, walked towards her place. his standing in front of her, and suddenly bent his body, then lay hold off my chin striving to kiss me, I shoved him forcefully and he falls on the floor. it's not easy for him to get up because he is fat with a big belly so I darted out of his office.
I only took my bag from my desk and ran to the elevator and evacuated the building.
The next day I submitted my resignation letter and quit that company.
In a moment the lady arrived inside. Adrian's gaze was on the bracelet that she's wearing. While Adrian reads the applicant's resume. His wondering because Her name seems familiar to him.
Except that she is married and has a child. Or perhaps it just looks similar ..fifteen years is too long she may have lost this and it just so happened that this woman found it and put it on.
She has a pleasant heart-shaped face, gorgeous Hazel eyes with perfect eyebrows, nice nose matched with plump lips. high cheekbones and her cute dimples, and her hair are straight shiny black, up to her shoulders.
"Good morning! Please sit down, Ms Dela Cruz, Well, I'm Alexandrian Romano, the CEO of this company."
"So glad to meet you, sir!"
"Good to meet you too, your CV is very impressive. you have done well in your academics."
"Thank you very much, sir,"
"I have only one question, and I want your honesty, I know it's an irrelevant question I just want to know, Where did you get that silver bracelet that you are wearing?"
His gaze was unfathomable his both arms were on the table. with folded hands. I was startled with his question.
Of all things he can ask why the bracelet in my wrist,
How it is connected to my work just like he said This is an irrelevant question.
I did not notice that my one hand was trying to cover the bracelet I felt they would suddenly take it from me.
I feel like I snatched something and got caught in the act. but my childhood friend gave It to me, It is memorable and it reminds me of his love for me, and I pledged him that I will take care of It, I will never lose it and I will wear It constantly.
I did not steal it. It is a reminder of his love for me. And he vowed to marry me when the right time comes, but where is he now?
"Ms Dela Cruz, "Once again he called her name.
And I came back to my senses after a deep thought. after hearing his voice calling her attention, "Yes sir sorry, this bracelet was given to me by my old friend when I was ten years old." she answered him without blinking. after he listened to her reply. She can see an Empty response to his expression.
His gaze is unfathomable. No one can explain, What he is thinking or What is on his mind, He abruptly picked up the phone on his desk.
He pressed the intercom on top of his desk and he called someone. I heard him speak with a vivid Voice, "Mary Ann come here",
