17. YIN-YANG They say life is a cycle of ups and downs,
Highs and lows,
Happiness and sadness,
All crafted with attention to detail in the form of a Yin-yang.
This mystic structure that depicts everyone’s lives.
While most form a part of the Yang,
Bright, bubbly and free-spirited,
Surrounded by a hint of tamable darkness.
Me?
My Zen is adrift,
Leaning toward the Yin,
Raised in the dark,
My soul is tainted,
I AM the shadows.
There is darkness all around, save for occasional but temporary exposures to the light.

Don’t pity me.
I probably chose to live this way,
