GLOOM In a colorless world, Behind a fogged up window, Grey curtains as drapes, Tightly meeting end to end, Vanquishing any color that may accidentally infiltrate and penetrate this motionless world. This depressing terrene, All I can perceive around me is a familiar dullness, Coming full circles no matter how far I try to wander, If I could run away from this nightmare, It’s never been the same as it was back then, This debacle I’m in, It’s a pit I can’t climb out of, Gripping at shifty mud and loose stones only to fall flat on my back again. Stuck in the same spot for so long now, From head to toe, I’m being covered in rust, Condemned to rot in here, This evil rut that keeps me firmly grounded while people around me pass by, They come and go while I can only look on
