12. ALTER-EGO Does it matter since when I started feeling this paranormal presence? All I know is that there is someone else living in me for as long as I can remember, An alter-ego, Something evil and despicable, Eyes as red as blood-shots, Hollow cheeks, a sinister smile, A smirk that makes me uncomfortable, It frightens me too. It often renders me powerless, Like an assassin lurking through the shadows, It emanates from the depths of Hell, Scouring through my cold, barren soul, Weaving itself, Fabricating piece by piece so intricately that even I’m not aware who’s more often in control over this lonely body. Not a split personality, Two distinct animas fighting over the same vessel, Hard to tell one apart from the other, It was too late to save me, Save yourself. Devo
