32. GREY While the world outside passes me by, Everything draped in bright colors, Contrasts, shades and beautiful mosaics at every corner, A smile on everyone’s face. My heart is, meanwhile, shrouded in a monotonous grey. This grey that has enveloped all itself all over me, Holding me captive. Doesn’t matter how hard I try to shrug it off, It clings to me harder, Unwilling to let go. You ask for the difference, A distinction, Between this unheard-of grey texture, As opposed to the black everyone’s often conflicted with. While it’s not crystal clear to me either, There are times when darkness gives way to a meager glimmer of light.
