AMAKA RICHARD: The following morning, Maureen's fiancé arrived early to pick her up, and we assisted her in carrying some of her boxes. Maureen wore a green nightdress, so she went to have her bath. As she stepped out of the bathroom, she donned a yellow top with a black skirt. She had this born-again look that made it difficult for anyone to know that she was raised by a single mother. "Thank you, Amaka," Maureen said to me once she was through applying a simple makeup of white powder and red lipstick on her lips. "I am going to miss you all," Maureen hugged me once more, and I smiled, "I am only a phone call away. Don't worry, I will come over to see you today, after I close from work," I told Maureen as Chris arrived at 6:30 am to pick her up with his car. "Okay," Maureen hugged me
