My blood ran cold. I felt myself freeze up as I processed what she said. Three days? How? It was just the morning a few hours ago. Hibi looked as confused as I did. But she was quiet. Irina swallowed harshly, her eyes darting from the both of us before training on Hibi.
"You went back?" Hibi looked down, avoiding her disappointed gaze. "Why?" She searched her face for answers but got none. She then caught my eye, anger flashing over her face "Did he make you" She took a threatening step towards me "Did you force her!?"
Hibi immediately stepped forward to defend me. "No, he didn't, I suggested checking it out" She lied through her teeth. I was the one that insisted on going but when I opened my mouth to tell the truth I was hushed with a sharp glare.
