  Kayla's POV   Six Years Ago   I waited in the waiting room with other applicants, my palms clammy and sweaty. I rubbed them on my jeans for the umpteenth time, wishing that the interview could take place and end already.   The anxiety was killing me, the excitement of it all was getting to my calm demeanor. Although losing this job wasn't going to mean I wasn't going to get another, I was quite excited because it was my first time applying for a job since I had left Marcus Turner's house, and it felt like a new chapter of my life had been opened.
