Chapter Twenty-One
Rune bit impatiently at her lip. The helicopter that brought them from the airport had landed just a few minutes before and Sergei told her that he and Dimitri had a special surprise for her. Sergei had taken the silk handkerchief from his breast pocket and tied it around her eyes. Dimitri chuckled as he picked her up. He insisted on carrying her into the house, saying he didn’t want to take a chance of her falling.
“What is the surprise?” Rune asked for the fifth time.
“You will see in just a moment,” Sergei teased.
“But, can’t you give me just a hint? Is it big or small?” Rune begged. “What is it?”
