The next day, Gabriel called early.
“Good morning. Did I wake you up?”
“No, I am already awake.”
“Good morning my love. Did you sleep well?”
“Yeah! Thank you. I missed my bed.”
“About the thing for tonight, can I postpone it?”
“Ah yeah, sure. I never really expected..”
He butted in before I was done speaking.
“Can I invite you for dinner?”
“Ahhmmm... I will ask my mom about it.”
“I already asked her and she said it’s up to you.”
“Wow, you talked to my mom?”
My voice raised a little.
“I am sorry, I just wanted to ask her permission.”
I got irritated a little. I spoke in my irritated voice.
“What time are we going?”
“Can my chauffeur pick you up around two in the afternoon?”
“I thought it’s dinner? That’s too early.”
“Well, I just miss you and I want to be with you early.”
