11 THE THINNING WORLD
We carry the tablet with us and the images of the lands that we are seeking substantially reduce the effort in shadow walking. In extremely short order, we arrive at the place shown in the first photograph, which is that of the quicksand world, characterized by the corkscrew symbol. As soon as we arrive, we begin our shadow walking to the second world line, the place of intersecting worlds.
Tyr leads us on the quest for the world of intersecting shadows, which is one of many worlds that he claims to have visited before. He leads us into a landscape of subterranean tunnels and caves, and soon we walk through a red-hued tunnel into the unknown.
