Chapter 7: Pillow Talk In the hushed serenity of his bedroom in the manor, Marshall Beaumont, a distinguished man of 55 with dark hair and piercing blue eyes that missed nothing, lay naked in bed with his wife. Cara Donovan Beaumont, a strikingly beautiful woman, rested beside him, her head on his chest. Still catching her breath after their lovemaking, Cara said, “You never cease to amaze me, Marshall.” “Age hasn’t slowed me down. I still know how to get what I want.” Cara let out a quick laugh. “As I recall, I married you willingly. No arm twisting involved.” Marshall kissed her and adjusted himself in the bed. “Well, maybe a bit of a nudge.” Marshall added, “And a few pre-marital agreements.” Cara quickly clarified: “Only to ensure that we both get what we want from this marriage.” Cara continued to caress him. “You know what I want from you, Cara. What I need from you.” Cara smiled. “Of course. Another heir to the Beaumont dynasty.” “Exactly. Another son. Or more.” “I’m trying, Marshall. You know that,” Cara reassured him. “Every time I put my D--NA inside you, I pray it happens.” Marshall began to use the word “d**k” but caught himself and said “DNA” instead. “My body is ready to carry your next child. It will bond us together forever.” “Well, my doctor says I’m as healthy as a twenty year old. Just as fertile and just as big...if not bigger. So let’s make it happen.” Marshall rolled onto his side, ready to make love to Cara again. “You said I’m the best lover you’ve ever had.” Cara nodded in approval. “It’s one of the many reasons I married you.” “I get better with age.” “You prove that every time we’re together.” Marshall kissed her passionately. “I’m ready again.” Marshall wrapped his arms around her. “What about breakfast?” Marshall climbed onto her. “ Breakfast can wait. The future of my family can’t.”
