Lucas’s POV: “Hand me the salt, please.” My mother says at the table. Sarah and I are cleaned up and sitting back at the table. Without even realizing it we both reach for the salt at the same time and she blushes as my fingers brush against hers. I smile as I look at the way her fingers melt against mine and all sorts of dirty images start popping up in my head from just minutes ago in my old bedroom. When I look up, everyone is still incredibly busy in their own conversations, except for Sarah’s father. Mr. Nelson’s eyes flicker between my own ones and Sarah and my hand on the salt.
