5 Breaking the news

Elliot: Kimberly that is a beautiful name.”
The first words he had to say when were alone. Something about being near him makes me feel less scared.
Elliot:”Look I’m sorry for the commotion me and my friends have caused.”
Me:”well I just don’t know what to say. They are gone and now I’m with you guys. I think I just need to sit and process.”
Elliot: “I understand the confusion, we will try to explain as much as possible. If you’d like to walk and talk and look for your friends we can.”
Normally I wouldn’t consider this but I wasn’t going to find them on my own, plus there was a strange felling saying I could I trust him. Against my better judgment I nod and we start walking down the trial. I look at the other three talking by the fire sipping coffee.
Me: “are they coming too?”
Elliot:”not if you don’t want them too”
Me:” no offense but I’d rather it just me you and me, if something happens I could take one but not all four.”
Elliot smirks a little with a small chuckle
“Fair enough, I’ll let them know what’s going on and they can stay here.”
He trots off to inform his friends they just nod and go back to talking. Elliot comes back to where we were standing and gives a small motion towards the trail.
Elliot: “so Kimberly um.. where do you think your friends went?”
Me: “I don’t know.. this whole thing worries me. I have no idea how they moved that fast. Maggie is athletic but Cathy? She’s not up for much.”
After a small laugh from him, it made my chest warm, I haven’t had that feeling before. I smile at the feeling. I finally ask why all this started.
“So what did you mean when you looked at me and said ‘mate’?? And how come your friend called Cathy a ‘rogue’?”
Elliot sighs as we walk looking conflicted at what to say. We stoped at a look out point for a second.
Elliot: “do you know much about wolves?”
I c****d my head in wonder. How does that have anything to do with any of this?? I know what I have been told and read but last night was my first encounter with the live animals.
Me: “um not much. I have read about them. Some came into camp last night but I scared them off? What does wolves have anything to do with us girls?”
Elliot: “well I’ll get there. Ok well what about witches? Do you believe in them?”
Witches? Now we’re talking about fiction. This is getting stupid. Maybe they are murders.
Me: “witches?? Are you crazy? They ain’t real.”
Elliot smiles a devilish grin, and shakes his head then turns to me. I can’t help but just stand like a statue next to this man while he looks deep into my eyes. I’m could get lost in those eyes forever. I don’t get it, I just feel an internal draw to him, like I want to feel him hold me. I step closer to him where I can feel his breath on my face. Both our breathing fastens and I say again.
“Are you crazy?”
Elliot doesn’t move and shakes his head no, he looks like he’s holding back trying to kiss me. Then a random thought came to me, Drew… him and I are over but I suddenly feel guilty for how I’m feeling for a stranger. Instead of giving into my urge I back one step back and clear my throat.
Me: “why are you asking me these things? What does that have to do with my friends being gone?”
He looks at the ground and then back up at me
Elliot: “well I will break it to you hard. It’s going to be a lot of information. My full title is Alpha Elliot Blackleaf, I’m with my Beta Caleb and my Gamas Tom and Jerry. We are werewolves. And your friend Cathy is one also but she is a rouge cause she has no pack, while Maggie seems to be a Witch protecting her.”
That is a lot of bull information that I really don’t believe. None of that stuff makes any sense.
Me: “ha yeah right! That is really funny and I’m a fairy.”
Elliot very unamused with my answer turns series. Suddenly I have that attraction of wanting to feel him again, what is going on with me! Then all of a sudden his golden eyes glow with some more shimmer to them and I see something. A figure in his eyes. It looks like a large dog. A wolf? He blinks and it’s gone his eyes are back to perfection. I back away slowly amazed at what I just witnessed. He realizes he scared me and holds up his hands in surrender.
Elliot: “Ok it’s a lot to take in, see werwolves are destined for one sole mate. We have a Goddess the Moon Goddess and she has given me you.”
Me: “wait you want me to believe you and your group are werewolves came because I was ‘given to you’ and Cathy is one of you while Maggie is a witch? Next you’ll say vampires have sucked my blood.”
Elliot: “I do, when we find your friends they will vouch for me. Come on let’s keep going and look for them.”
Then out of no where the girls appear and Maggie mumbles something as Cathy come running towards us.
Maggie: “duratus”
Elliot stops in his tracks and acts like a statue.
Cathy: “how long do we have until the other mutts come looking for you??”
Me: “do what? Who are you talking about?”
Maggie: “she don’t know anything and let’s try to keep it that way. I’ll just knock her out and implant memories.”
I start backing away slowly back towards the Elliot statue and I swear a growl came from him.
Me: “WHOA WHAT?!?! Hell no what are you talking about ‘knock me out’?”
Cathy: “no I want this camping to be real! I just didn’t expect this.. I’m sorry they probably found us because of me..”
Maggie: “but you didn’t do anything we just let our guard down. It’s ok. Plus how did we know she was going to find her mate?”
Me: “HELLO?!? I’m right here what is going on?”
Maggie: “this will be easier if We get her to safety before bozo gets free.”
Me: “who? Elliot?! He said we’re also mates? And that tall blond Caleb called me a Luna?”
Cathy gasps and looks at Maggie fear all over her face.
Cathy: “oh no! This is going to get messy.”
Maggie: “not if I can help it. We have a week to figure it out for us, before anyone is concerned. We can loose them.”
Me: “ok well what are we supposed to do?”
Cathy: “first, let’s get out of here, we can grab our stuff later.”
Elliot starts making muffled noises and rocking back and forth. I walk in front of him and subconsciously touch his cheek, he stops moving it’s like he fell into my touch. I feel sparks fly and I can’t pull away from this feelings I have. Maggie grabs me and shakes me
Maggie: “girl you are goin to be saying here if we don’t get gone soon!”
Cathy: “it would be cool if we could be accepted into the pack right?”
Me: “pack? Do you two believe all this. Is what he said true. Have you two been lying to me all the time?…”
Maggie looks and me with sorrow in her face and looks like she don’t know how to start.
Maggie: “look there is a lot to tell you and we will tell everything you want to know but those things we can do later.”
Cathy: “just konk her out and let’s go we will take care of this in a safer place.”
